girlhood is ichor / against white-tile backsplash / a suburban nightmare / ripping through girl-flesh / to find god-flesh / to find out the girl / is god / to find heaven on her lips / while sin spills down her spine / sin and / sweat and / filth and / stardust and / religion, this / is what makes a girl / this is angels / in short skirts / and the devil / in lipgloss / shimmer and / shine, baby / this world will try / to break you down / to rip your heart out / and eat it for breakfast / but you- / you beat them to it / the clash of teeth / against immorality reverberates / through this hollow wasteland / and after the fall / the girl is the only one left standing / with blood and / pulp / running down her chin / she smiles
girl-flesh // god-flesh
