Day Forty-three, Last Day
Carson smiled for the first time in a long time.
She was getting out.
She was getting out!
Nate had a friend, and he told Carson that he came to help. What Nate didn't know, was that his friend came to help her escape not to help him cut her.
Her knocked Nate out and softly took Carson's hand. "Hey, you don't know me, but you're a huge part of my life. I would never hurt you, so please, just let me hell you escape this hell-hole." The man told her.
His hair hair was somewhat grey and he had familiar blue eyes. Those eyes, Carson knew she recognized them, but from where?
She let him lead her out of the concrete place and she smiled as she got to see the sky.
Who knew something so plain could be so beautiful? Carson thought to herself as she admired the white clouds and shining sun. The man chuckled sadly.
"You haven't seen this," he gestures to their surroundings, "in a while have you?"
Carson shakes her head and drags her bare feet around the soft grass.
The man led her to a car and they sped out of the place. Soon, sirens filled Carson's ears and she wondered, alarmed, why the man didn't stop.
Her fear flew out the window as he pulled into the police station. The cop following Carson and the man ran up to the car as soon as he exited his car.
The man who helped Carson got out and held up his hands, "I'm sorry I didn't pull over. I didn't have time. You see, he nods towards the car that Carson is in, "I've got Carson Forest."
The man's eyes widened and he ran over to Carson's door as he dialed his phone that he had pulled out of his pocket in a flash.
He opened the door and sighed in relief when he saw Carson. Carson hopped out of the car and listened to the cop.
"Hello, Mabel? . . . This is Erin, you're daughter's at the station. . ." Carson's eyes widen and she snatches the phone from the cops hand.
"Sorry, er. . . Erin." She apologizes but puts the phone to her ear. Erin nods seeming to fully understand why she did it. Carson speaks immediately.
"Mom!?" She groans out softly but exitedly as tears fill her eyes.
"Carson? Oh, my gosh, my baby, you're alright! You are alright, right? Oh, my, honey, Cherry and I are on our way. I'll have to call Amanda!" Carson laughs and cries happy tears as her mom rants.
Mabel continues to talk, "I'm not getting off of the phone with you though, don't you worry! Cherry, hurry, call Amanda. Oh, Carson. . . I - we all missed you so much! I'm almost there sweetie, almost there."
Carson hears a car and turns around, happy to see her mom's old red car.
And what a surprise Carson gets.
