"Next." A tall dark haired man said. He ushered the four friends quickly into the small room.
Jenny, Isa, and Charlie walked into the small room, where their idols stood waiting on them, their strides full of confidence. Excitement flooded through them as they entered.
"Shouldn't their be four of you?" Ally's angelic voice filled the room when she saw the three girl. It was more of a question rather than a statement. She frowned in confusion.
The three girls looked at each other just as confused as Ally, then noticed Anna was missing.
"Ugh." Jenny huffed. She rolled her eyes and threw her hands up in the air, frustrated. "Anna, come on. They don't bite. They're regular girls just like us. What kind of impression are you making?" She shouted at her friend, who was standing in the doorway nervously, eyeing the room. Jenny ran her hand through her hair and down her face, sighing.
Anna's eyes fell on Jenny and she flinched when her older friend shouted at her. She took a step backwards, ready to run out of the room if Jenny was to shout at her again.
"She's like this cause you mentioned her mum, you know that's a sensitive subject for her." Jenny whispered in her Charlie's ear, slapping the back of her sister's head slightly.
Curiosity crossed Dinah, Ally, Normani, Camila and Lauren's minds at Jenny's comment. They looked at each other and shrugged, but didn't say anything, only turned their attention back on the four fans. Lauren was the only member of the group to direct her attention onto the floor.
"Ow." Charlie said, glaring at Jenny, holding the back of her head. "That hurt."
"Good." Jenny smirked.
Ally, Dinah, Normani, Camila and Lauren couldn't help but giggle at the four friends.
"Guys." Isa moaned. She looked between her three friends. "We are making fools out of ourselves in front of our idols." She huffed, running her hand through her hair. She walked up to Anna, taking her right wrist harshly in her hand, gripping tightly and dragging her into the room, letting the door hit Anna's back slightly as she entered.
"Ouch! Isa that hurts!" Anna let out a little whimper of fear and pulled her hand from Isa's grip. She rubbed her wrist with her left hand.
Lauren looked up from the ground at the four girls in front of them. Her eyes danced upon each girls features. When her eyes landed on Anna, they stayed there. A smile played on her lips and she had to force herself to look away.
Camila saw this and considered saying something, but decided against it. She made a mental note to ask Lauren about it later. Jenny also saw this, smirking slightly, glancing at Anna out of the corner of her eye.
Anna could feel Lauren's eyes on her. She shock off the nerves and looked up at her idols. She smiled, trying to look confident, but she wasn't fooling anyone.
"Hello." Normani started of the introductions "I'm Normani. That's Camila, Ally, Dinah and Lauren." She pointed to each girl as she said their name and they waved.
"Hey." Isa said. "I'm Isa. That's Charlie and Jenny." She pointed to each girl and they waved. "And this, this is Anna." She put her hand on Anna's shoulder. "She's kinda shy." She whispered, blocking her mouth from Anna's ear as if to stop Anna from hearing - it obviously didn't work.
Anna waved. "Hi." She said quietly. She shook Isa's hand from her shoulder and punched the girls shoulder lightly, giving her a death glare. "I'm not shy." She mumbled loud enough so only Isa could here her.
"Should we get the pictures done, then you can ask us some questions. We have a surprise for you after." Dinah announced.
The four friend stood in between their idols. Anna in between Lauren and Camila. Jenny in between Camila and Ally. Charlie in between Ally and Dinah. Isa in between Dinah and Normani. The camera man took a four pictures, one for each girl, and sent them to the printer. He collected them and handed each girl a copy then left the room.
Anna studied the picture in her hands. She could see Lauren's arm wrapped around her waist. She took a deep breath and let it out, looking up from the picture. She could feel Lauren's eyes on her again, this made her feel a little uncomfortable. She did her best to shake the uncomfortable feeling off.
Each singer took each girls picture from them, signing their name above their image in the picture.
"So any questions?" Camila asked. She smiled, sweetly. She handed Anna her picture back.
"Yeah. I have one." Jenny said, taking her friends by surprise. "We occasionally like to sing with each other. Could we.... like... sing for you? And could you..... like... tell us if we are any good?" Jenny asked growing a little nervous. She looked at her black shoes.
"What?" Anna asked, shocked. She looked up at Jenny, fear flashed in her eyes. Her breathing grew fast, panic began to settle in.
"Come on guys it's worth a try. Isn't it?" Jenny said, more confident, but still a little unsure of herself. She was determined to get her idols opinion on their singing, though. "Come on, we'll sing 'Miss Movin' on'. We know that off by heart. Anna you could sing the damn thing in your sleep."
Isa, Charlie and Anna nodded in agreement. Jenny had a point, they didn't have anything to loose. She was right Anna could sing the song in her sleep, she could even sing it backwards - not that she had ever tried. She had also learned the song in Spanish and French.
"Yeah sure. We'd love to." Ally said. She smiled.
"Anna. You start. We'll join in on the chorus." Jenny said.
Anna sighed. "Okay." She looked at her muddy white converse, took a deep breath, cleared her throat and began.
"I'm breaking down, gonna start from scratch, Shake it off like an Etch-A-Sketch, My lips are saying goodbye, My eyes are finally dry, I'm not the way that I used to be, I took the record off repeat, You killed me, but I survived, And now I'm coming alive"Anna closed her eyes, becoming lost in the song. The other girls joined in that harmonised perfectly.
"I'll never be that girl again, no oh oh, I'll never be that girl again, no oh oh, My innocence is wearing thin, But my heart is growing strong, So call me, call me, call me, Miss movin' on, oh oh oh, Miss movin' on, oh oh oh, yeah"Jenny, Charlie and Isa stopped singing. Anna continued. Isa sang two lines over the top of Anna.
"I broke the glass that surrounded me (Surrounded me), I ain't the way you remember me (Remember me), I was such a good girl, So fragile, but no more."Anna stopped. Isa continued. Charlie singing as well.
"I jumped the fence to the other side (The other side), My whole world was electrified (Electrified), Now I'm no longer afraid, It's Independence Day (Independence Day)"They harmonised again.
"I'll never be that girl again, no oh oh, I'll never be that girl again, no oh oh, My innocence is wearing thin, But my heart is growing strong, So call me, call me, call me, Miss movin' on"Jenny took over. Isa singing two lines over the top of her.
"Everything is changing and I never wanna go back to the way it was (The way it was), I'm finding who I am and who I am from here on out is gonna be enough (Gonna be enough) It's gonna be enough"The four friends harmonised again for the finale time in the song.
"I'll never be that girl again, no oh oh, I'll never be that girl again, oh oh oh, My innocence is wearing thin, But my heart is growing strong, So call me, call me, call me, Miss movin' on (on) oh oh oh, Miss movin' on (On and on and on and on and on) oh oh oh, Miss movin' on (on and on and on and on) oh oh oh, (On and on and on and on) Miss movin' on, oh oh oh (Hey yeah)"Charlie, Isa and Jenny stopped singing. Anna sang the last line.
"I'm movin' on"
Silence filled the room as Anna's voice trailed off at the end of the song.
