"Come on, Anna. What happened?" Jenny begged as the four friends walked out of the concert building.

"I'm not telling." Anna sighed. Jenny had been asking what happened between her and Lauren since they left the room five minutes ago. "You don't need to know." I pointed my finger in her face.

She swatted my hand away. "Ugh! Fine! I'll get it out of you, somehow." Jenny gave up trying to get her youngest friend to talk. "Isa, where's your mum?" She turned her attention to Isa and Charlie, who were deep in conversation.

Isa looked around for a moment. "Just over there." She pointed to the red Vauxhall Astra sitting beside the pavement. "Come on, lets go."

The four friends made their way over to the car and got in.

"So girls. How was it?" Mrs Smith asked once the four teenagers were settled in her car.

"It was amazing, we got to hang out with the girls after the show and we sang for them and Ally said we were amazing, Lauren couldn't find any words to say anything, she was too taken away by Anna." Jenny rambled.

"Jenny!" Anna shouted. She slapped Jenny's arm.

"Sounds eventful. Jenny, Charlie, I'm going to drop you off first and then we'll drop you off Anna." Mrs Smith said. She looked at her daughter's three friends through the rear-view mirror.

"Okay." The three girls smiled and began a conversation about the events of that night.

Mrs Smith started the engine and turned the steering wheel, the car moved away from the curb.

Anna looked down at her phone. She had three messages from Alison. She replied with: 'on way home, see you in a bit'.

"Whose that?" Jenny asked, Looking over Anna's shoulder at the younger girls phone. "Lauren?"

"No! Alison." Anna looked up from her phone and at Jenny.

"You know you can call her mum, it wouldn't kill you." Jenny said.

"It might." Anna mumbled, she looked down at her phone as the screen lit up.

"What?" Jenny asked, wanting her friend to repeat her previous statement.

"Nothing." Anna unlocked her phone and opened the message. It was from Lauren. 'Hey, Anna. I miss you. I can't wait to see you again.' A small smile made its way onto Anna's face. She replied to the message before locking her phone and looking out of the window. Her thoughts drifted to Lauren and what she might be doing at that moment.

Jenny shrugged and joined into the conversation between her sister and Isa. She giggled when Isa told them about her falling down the stairs. She watched Anna out of the corner of her eye, the youngest girl sighed contently, a small smile on her face.
