Anna woke up to the sound of her alarm.
"Put that off!" Kelsey yelled from her bed across the room. "I have a banging headache."
"Okay. Okay." Anna said, picking up her phone and switching off the alarm. She had a text from Lauren. Morning beautiful. I have a surprise for you. I'll see you soon.
Anna smiled. She replied to the message and got out of bed. She looked at Harley's bed, which was empty, the younger teenager was already awake and down stairs probably eating her breakfast. She got changed into her school uniform - a black skirt and black blazer with the school logo on it, a white shirt and blue and white tie - after taking a shower.
When Anna went back into her room, Kelsey had fallen asleep again. Anna walked over to her sister's bed. She shook her sister awake.
"Anna! What the hell?" Kelsey yelled as she sat up in her bed. She rubbed her eyes tiredly.
"We have school." Anna said simply. She picked up her school bag and grabbed her phone from the table beside her bed and left the room. She heard Kelsey groan as she closed the door.
Anna went down the stairs to join the others at the kitchen table. She dropped her bag by the front door, along with the other bags, and went into the kitchen. She grabbed a bowl and poured some Cheerios and semi-skimmed milk into the bowl and took a seat at the crowded kitchen table. Honey and Jack were in the corner of the room, scoffing down their breakfast. Snowball was up on the mantel eating her food with care.
"Where's Kelsey?" Alison asked.
"She's still up stairs. I think she has a hangover." Anna said.
Alison stood up and went to the bottom of the stairs. "Kelsey! Hurry up. You'll be late!" She yelled.
Kelsey groaned loudly in reply.
"Anna. What's a hangover?" Lewie asked. The young boy looked up at Anna. He was in his school uniform - grey trousers, a while polo-shirt and a red jumper.
"It's nothing you need to worry about." Anna said. She shrugged.
"Oh. Okay." Lewie said, shoving a spoon full of Coco-Pops into his mouth.
Anna giggled at the boy as Alison came back into the kitchen. She sighed, running her hand through her hair. "I don't know what I'm gonna do with her." She said quietly to herself.
Kelsey came into the kitchen, wearing the same uniform as Anna. She sat in the chair beside Anna, grabbing a banana from the middle of the table. She opened it and took a bite.
Anna put the last spoon full of her cereal into her mouth and stood up. She put the bowl in the sink and swallowed the contents of her mouth.
"Come on, Lucas. Lets go brush our teeth." Anna said. She took the bowl from her eight year old brothers hands and put it in the sink for him before taking his hand and leading him up the stairs. She led him into the bathroom and brought his toothbrush from the cabinet above the sink. She put some toothpaste on it for him and gave it to him. She brought her own toothbrush out and repeated the actions before brushing her teeth.
