Happily ever after?

"Marcus?" I asked raising up my head. He is trying to open his eyes. I can't believe it. He's awake! "Hey!" I said smiling and wiping my tears. He opened his eyes and looked around the room surprised by the place. Then he looked at me and our eyes met, he smiled immediately. Then he struggled a little and said, "What happened." "You just brought me back to life. That's what happened! You are okay." I said smiling and leaned forward and kissed his cheeks. "I love you so much, Marcus Dobre." I said taking his hand. Then, he squeezed it and smiled.
*Later*
"Well Mr.Dobre, your health seems okay and stable. Keep it going." He the doctor said when all of us were in Marcus's room. I was lying next to Marcus on his bed, side hugging him. I looked at Marcus after the doctor said this and he was smirking. "Yes! That's my strong boy who always wants it!" Jake said. "Shhh. He's mine." I said taking Marcus in my arms. "Always." Marcus said looking at me smiling. "Man, you have no idea how Mia acted when you were away. She could have donated her tears for making a lake or something!" Alissa said sarcastically. "Shut up." I said looking at the ground. "Where you worried about me?" Marcus said looking at me in the eyes. "Of course I was! You were in a coma! I was so worried and.. I missed you so much." I said. "I love you,you know." He said smiling and I smiled back then kissed him. "Alright guys! Shall we leave these two love birds for a while?" Hailey said then I stared at her and she said, "For Marcus to rest. I mean." Then all the squad went out of the room and it was only me and Marcus. "And we are finally alone." Marcus said kissing my cheeks. "Marcus?" I said in a low voice and he looked up at me. "I.... Am sorry. I mean what happened to you was because of me and-" I said in a cracked voice remembering what happened to him. "Please don't." Marcus said interrupting me. "Yes, Marcus! I have to say this. I am sorry for you getting hit because of me. I am sorry you had to suffer and lay down like this because of me. I should've been the one being hit by the car. The one that goes through the coma. The one who should be lying here instead of you. You shouldn't go through this because of me. I am sorry." I was crying. But saying this made me relieved for a while. "Hey. Hey. You shouldn't feel any guilty okay? I am fine and I am glad you are here by my side. What if you were the one being hit and couldn't make it? Do you think I would be happy then? What happened happened,Mia. And we are here now. Together." He said while putting his gentle fingers on my face and wiping my tears. "I love you." I said sobbing. "I love you too! And nothing shall tear us apart. Nothing." He said looking at me in the eyes then kissed me.
*Couple of Months later*
"Hurry up Mia!" Marcus yelled out of the bathroom. "Coming!" I yelled back. "What took you so long?!" Marcus asked. "It's our first show! I have to be full in glam." I said checking my dress. "It's just a rehearsal! And I will never understand why you women always taking so long getting dressed." He said rolling his eyes. "You won't have a chance to deal with all women." I said smirking. "Right. Cause I have my beautiful queen right here." He said side hugging me. "And btw you look gorgeous." He said kissing my head and I giggled. We went downstairs and the whole squad were dressed. "Ready for our first rehearsal guys?" Jake asked in excitement and we all cheered. "Let's goo!" Alex yelled and we left. Yes. The squad and I are going on tour! (I know this is cancelled, but they would rock it if it happened) We are currently at NY. Aj and I will sing together and then separately. That's my part. "This is awesome!" Alissa said once we reached the place and saw the stage. "So excited!" Marcus said from behind. The stage was big and there were many places for audience. I am so excited for this. It's my first time to sing for such a big audience! I went on the stage with Aj and we sang a couple of songs we will sing tomorrow. We will have a duet and then I will sing my own song. The one I actually wrote. "Baby, that was amazing! You were so perfect out there!" Marcus kissed me as soon as I went backstage. "Really? Was it good?" I asked. "Absolutely!" He said smiling. I love the support and love he keeps giving me. He always encourages me to do better and to keep up my work. I just love him.
*Next Morning*
"Wake up sleepy head!" I said jumping over Marcus. "Noo pwease." He said childishly. "I have a city to show you! C'mon." I said sitting him up. "Okay, okay. I will be dressed in 10." He said giving me a morning kiss then went to change. I wore a white lace top with floral shirts, put my hair in a ponytail and got my backpack. "Ready?" I asked Marcus. "Yes ma'am." He answered taking my hand. "Let's go!" I said and we went out of the room. Firstly, we went to Starbucks. "Nothing makes a good day other than coffee." I said after taking a sip. Marcus was making a sad face. "But waking up to your pretty face, makes my day the best!" I said and he cheered up. "So, how does it feel like being back in the big city." Marcus asked. "It feels good and it brings so much memories." I said smiling. "But.... I miss my mother being around with me. We used to walk down these streets together, you know." I said sadly. "I believe she's in a better place. And she's happy because you are!" Marcus said putting his hand on my back. And I smiled. We walked down couple of streets and talked on many things. I love being with him. The time seems endless. All I think about is always being with him by his side. "And this is our house." I said pointing to the house we once lived in. "Or used to be." I said. "It looks beautiful." Marcus said and I nodded. "I used to walk down this road with my best friend, Nita." I said bringing back memories. "She didn't call or text?" Marcus asked and I shook my head. She hasn't asked about me except a couple of times when I first moved to Maryland. She probably doesn't care about me anymore. Nor do I, honestly."I want to go to the Statue of Liberty." Marcus said in excitement. "Hmm." I said. "Please please please." He begged like a child. "Okay." I said. "Yaaaay!" He said clapping. We went on the boat with tourists and we went towards the statue. Surrounded by water and the sun above us was so beautiful. I was admiring the view when I caught Marcus looking at me. "The statue is right there." I said smirking. "I was having a look at the closer piece of art. You." He said smiling and I blushed. Marcus's phone rang. "It's Jake." He said and answered. "Okay. Okay. We are coming." Marcus said and hung up. "He wants us to be early at the stage. We will go right after this." He said and I nodded.
*Minutes before going on stage*
I was playing with my fingers. I am going with Aj in minutes. I checked the audience and they were so many! Am I really singing in front of all of these? "Why so nervous?" Marcus asked. "It's my first time on stage in front of all these people." I nervously said. "You will be fine. Don't worry." He said comforting me. "C'mere." He said and pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back tightly and just stood there. He didn't break the hug, which I am glad for! I am both nervous and excited. And all I needed was a hug. "Ready,Mia?" Aj asked and I looked at Marcus. "You will slay it. Good luck. I love you." He then kissed me. I went after Aj and on the stage with the clapping and cheers of the fans. I looked back at Marcus and he was smiling which gave me courage. "Mia and I will duet Closer by Halsey. Hope you like it!" Aj said. "You. Look as good as the day I met you. I forgot just why I left you, I was insane." I started my part and people cheered after hearing my voice. This gave me confidence, cause it means I am doing good. I started to move more freely on the stage and doing some moves. I love it!
"So baby pull me closer, in the backseat of your rover. That I know you can't afford bite the tattoo on your shoulder." I sang with Aj. We were both getting along and moving with the words of the song. We were both slaying. "We ain't never getting older. No,we ain't never getting older." We finished and people cheered for long time. I looked at Marcus and he was clapping then yelled, "That was awesome!" And I giggled. "Now, Mia is gonna sing a song of her own. Please give her some cheers." Aj said and gave me the mic. I took a deep breath, and started singing. My first song of my own words. This is amazing! Mum, please tell me you are watching this. My dad and Tara are here, but I wish my mum was here,too. I finished singing and there were pulses and cheers. Before I leave, I want to say some words. "I want to thank you all for coming to our little show, and I have something to say." I said and the crowd went quiet. "Ofc I want to thank you all for coming here and being our best supporters and back bone. But I especially want to thank my very dear one, Marcus dobre. You might know that Marcus and I are dating and I am his girlfriend but we are much more than that. Marcus, I want to say thank you so much for always being here." I said looking at him while he was in the backstage looking at me cross armed. Smiling. "Thanks for every single moment I had with you. Every little memory. I love when you make me smile and laugh from the top of my lungs! Waking up yo your pretty face every morning makes my heart dance and my day the best!" I am crying a little and I can say Marcus is trying hard not to. "Sorry for taking long but I had to to this. Thank you." I said then ran into Marcus and jumped over him. He got my legs and kept me steady. I hugged him tight and he whispered, "You have no idea how much love I have for you." And I smiled. This is the best moment of my life. Could there be any better one?
*Skip show*
"This was amazing!" I said as Marcus and I went into the car. He was driving. "I know,right! So much love these fans have for us! I feel so blessed." Marcus said and I nodded. "So, where are we going?" I asked. "Celebrating!" Marcus said excited. "Yes!! What about the squad?" I asked. "They will follow us." Marcus continued and I nodded. We went for a restaurant and it was only me and him. "So, the squad is taking a while to come. And I have something to tell you.." Marcus started. "What's wrong again? Tell me it's not something so bad." I said worried. What more problems could possibly be in our way? "Relax, nothing is wrong." He said and I sighed. "What is it then?" I asked. "I want to tell you I love you so much." He said. "I know this already." I said flipping my hair. "Seriously, I love you. I can't imagine my life without you,Mia. I can't believe waking up and not finding you by my side. I enjoy your company a lot. Cause you always make me smile and happy af. You stay by my side in my happiness and sadness. Sickness and health. And you are so dear to me! You made me live my best moments and I am glad for every single one of them." Okay that's touching. Marcus got up and took something out of his pocket. "I have been waiting for this moment for so long." He said and got out a small box. Wait! Is he proposing? This couldn't get any better! I am about to get married to the one I love the most! "Don't get me wrong, but I don't want to call you my girlfriend for longer. I mean, girlfriend is such a stupid word. We gotta get married so I can call you wifie." He said and opened the box. And it had he most beautiful promise ring my eyes have ever seen. "Mia Harper, would you marry me?" Marcus asked looking in my eyes and I was slightly crying. "Yes!" I said and he was happy and cheered up. He got up and I hugged him hard. Hard cause I never want to break it. I don't want to let go. He put the ring in my finger and it was so beautiful! "I love you so much." I said crying. "I was afraid you won't accept." Marcus said smirking. "I never would! I love you. I always have. Cause you have always my love! Always been the one." I said and hugged him.
