EXT. SMOOTHIE SHOP - NOON
Shown is a Froyo shop in the Delmar loop in St.Louis Missouri.

INT. SMOOTHIE SHOP - NOON
SHAINE LANE, a 18 year old girl is working in a froyo shop taking orders when one of her co-workers taps her shoulder to tell her that she is needed in the bosses office. Shaine walks into the boss's office RITA, a middle aged lady,with a nervous look on her face.
                        RITA
        Come in. Sit down and stop looking so nervous.
                        SHAINE
        I can't help it, usually when someone is called down to your office they're either fired or suspended.
                       
                        RITA
        Well lucky for you, you're neither. I want to promote you.

                        SHAINE
        You're kidding right?

                        RITA
        (Says sarcastically) Sure, Right I'm kidding.

                      SHAINE
            Oh....Well...

                      RITA
            You're days of waitressing are over, You're new job will be assistant manager.

SHAINE

But that's Lances spo-(RITA cuts her off)

RITA
Lance?...Well let's just say he quit...(says under her breath) Without notice.

SHAINE
Wow, thanks Rita.

RITA
Go home. You're off the day.

SHAINE
Thanks again, I won't let you down.

RITA
You better not or the positions someone else's.

SHAINE
Bye! See ya' later! (Shaine closes the door and leaves the froyo shop and walks home.)

EXT. NEIGHBORHOOD - EVENING
Shaine is walking home while on her phone to her friend STEPH, a 18 year old hipster.

SHAINE
Steph, guess what!?

STEPH
Uhh...you got fired from your job?
    
     SHAINE
No...I got a promotion and-

Shaine stops walking when she sees 5 guys TAYLOR, a guy in his mid 20's, ZAC, a guy in his early 20's, LUKE, a guy in his mid 20's and LEVI, a 19 and JAKE, a good looking guy in his 20's Has a gun held up to TYLER, a guy in his 20's, head and Tyler has his hands raised in the air.

JAKE
Where is he!?

    TYLER
How many times do I have to tell you!? I don't know! If you want information you have to talk to Dylan.

JAKE
I know you know where he is.

TYLER
I swear I don't!

     JAKE
My brother is missing(pauses for  3 seconds) You and I both know that you know where he is.
(Raises gun to tyler and shoots him.) 

Tyler falls to the ground following Shaine's scream.

                    JAKE
                 Hold this (Hands Taylor his gun)

Jake walks towards Shaine who is on the ground backing up from him with a terrified look on her face.

JAKE
Hay!

    SHAINE
You shot him! You just killed that guy! I have to get help! I need to call-

    Jake
Look at me... You didn't see anything. You won't say anything.

     SHAINE
(Nods her head in a "yes" motion) I promise.

  Shaine runs in the opposite direction looking back at Jake one last time before running home.
