Impossible S2 E2 - Insanity

Int.Jail House- Night
Shaine and Lucky are sitting in the phone booth waiting to talk to Steph. Steph soon walks up to the phone and starts talking to them.

Shaine: Please Steph tell me this is all just a lie.

Steph: I wish I could.

Shaine: Are you crazy?! We were going to start over and leave the past behind us what happened with that idea?

Steph: Now don't bring up that leave the past behind us junk when you were just about to run back to Jake! You don't even know the full story.

Shaine: You had the note the whole time. You made me think I was insane and losing my mind when it was just you screwing with my head.

Steph: I did those things so you can forget about Jake. What better way to do that than killing a innocent person and blaming him. You ruined it! You were going to run to him and try make up with him. You were supposed to do the total opposite.

Shaine: I can't believe you'd do that you were supposed to be my best friend!

Steph: I tried! Like I said earlier you were so in love with a guy who made you miserable. You deserved something better than that drug dealing no good scum.

Shaine: Have you gone to court yet?

Steph: I got pre meditated murder up to twenty five years.

Shaine: No parole?

Steph: Nope. I'm going to try to plea for insanity and hopefully I'll go to the nut house.

Shaine: I'm so sorry Steph.

Steph: I have to go now. (hangs up phone and walks away with the police officer.)

Shaine: I can't help but think that all this is my fault.

Lucky: Shaine it is anything but your fault.

Shaine: You see the way she's acting? That's not her at all, she's traumatized and she let all the pressure get to her.

Lucky: Things happen for a reason. Maybe she'd get to plea for insanity and she'll get help.

Shaine: Even if she did plea for insanity the Steph I once knew is gone and it's basically all my fault.

Int. Shaine's apartment #2- Night
Shaine is sitting at her dining room table when Jai knocks on the door. Shaine answers it.

Jai: I came as soon as I heard what happened.

Shaine: Yeah come in. Jai this is Lucky my roommate. Lucky..Jai.

Jai: You're Lucky? Huge fan of your art work.

Lucky: Thank you.

Jai: So what exactly happened?

Shaine: Steph killed someone.

Jai: I mean it's not the first time.

Shaine: Yeah but this person she killed had nothing to do with Jake or Dylan. She's totally lost it Jai.

Jai: Who would've known it'd be Steph to lose it?

Shaine: I just feel empty right now. We were just about turn our lives around and forget about Jake, Dylan, Dalton, all of them.

Jai: Did she tell you why she murdered someone?

Shaine: To make it seem like Jake or Dylan killed her and you know that note I needed to get my mom back? Steph had it the whole time.
