A wise decision

Before I start this guys, Holy shit! Guys. Seriously? 430 reads? I was gone a week.

Anyways, back to the story.

Dean hung up the phone and looked at Sam.

"Cas said it's best if you stay away from Gabe. He's finally coming back from the whole relationship and that he's doing better in school. Cas also said that Gabe still loves you, but it's better this way. I'm sorry, Sam."

"It's alright, Dean. He's right. Gabe has college. The long distance thing wasn't working. I just want him happy." Sam said. He was somewhat telling the truth. Sam wanted Gabe successful and happy. He also wanted to hear his voice everyday, but Gabe's happiness trumps that. Sam thought Gabe deserved so much better than this long distance relationship that was tugging him down. He didn't realize he was crying until he felt his big brother tug him into a hug.

Over at Cas and Gabe's

"I think you made a wise decision, Gabe." Cas said.

"I don't. But I need to let it go. He deserves more than me weighing him down. He has a huge life ahead. Me? I just have whatever I can do with this degree after college." Gabe missed Sam, but he knew Sam deserved so much better than a drop out that still doesn't have his life together.

"You can do anything you put your mind to, Gabe. You know that right?"

"If I could, I'd have an amazing relationship with Sam." Gabe said, blinking the tears away.

1 year later...

It's been a year since the breakup. Gabe has dated a lot, but he never went past a first date. No one was ever as amazing as Sam.

Sam ended up dating Ruby, although it wasn't the same as the whiskey eyed man he dated a year ago. He hated himself for letting the relationship end. He just wanted Gabe back. To be able to talk to him. To tell him that he loved him.

Sorry for the short chapter, I'm tired but I really wanted to write it before I went on with my crappy week.

My grandfather is having surgery this week, so I'm going to be at a hospital for a long time, doing nothing but worrying. I'm going try and use that time to write more of my stories.

What? Writing Fanfiction calms me down.

Anyways...

Thanks for reading this far! I love all of y'all. (I'm from southern USA. Sue me.)
