Happy Birthday to me! (Wow, that sounded really selfish...ah what the heck. It's my birthday!)

Lord Starchbottom's Birthday

"SURPRISE!!" Starchy let out a shocked yelp. He looked around and saw everyone in Jollywood was here. He turned back to the queen, completely confused on what was going on. "B-but it's your birthday!" He stammered. Queen Delightful shook her head. "No, silly-willy. The 7D told you that to get you out of the castle. It's your birthday!" She said as she pointed at the birthday boy. Lord Starchbottom smiled widely in excitement and in slight embarrassment. "Hehe. That's right! It is! I totally forgot." He looked around the fully decorated throne room, admiring the 7D's job well done. "Wow! I-I can't believe you did this all for me. This is the happiest day of my life." He turned back to his queen. "How can I ever thank you?" Queen Delightful smiled. "By partying! It's your birthday!" Everyone cheered and gathered around the center floor to dance in celebration. The 7D began to sing a "happy birthday" song.

"Happy Birthday, everybody shout "Heigh Ho!
We gotta say it loud, 'cause we want the world to know.
That it's your birthday, Hey!
And we think you're jolly good,
Happy Birthday and Heigh Ho from Jollywood.
Heigh Ho! "

~Later That Evening~

"Goodnight! Thanks for coming!" Starchy waved goodbye to the last of the party guests. He shut the castle doors and leaned against it. He let out a happy sigh. "This was the best day ever." He said to himself. "I'm glad you enjoyed it." Queen Delightful stood right in front of him, carrying a stack of presents Starchbottom had received from every single villager in Jollywood. "Oh let me get that for you, your majesty." He took the packages into his own arms. He had trouble keeping his balance and everything fell on top of the queen and her advisor. "Are you okay, Queen Delightful?" The queen rubbed her head. "Yeah." They sat in silence for a while in the pile of presents. "D-do you want to help me open my gifts?" Starchy asked shyly. Queen Delightful's expression brightened up. "Of course!" They dragged the gifts over to Queen Delightful's throne. She let Starchy sit in the chair but he refused. She encouraged him to until he finally gave in and hesitantly sat down. She sat down right beside him.

It took them over 3 hours to get through all the presents. Starchbottom opened the last present and smiled at it. "A bathtub kit and it's from Bashful." Queen Delightful looked at it. "That was nice of him to get you that. You love baths!" "It was nice of all of them to get something for me." He said as he put the box aside. "Finally, we went through all of them." Queen Delightful grinned. "Not quite all of them." She pulled out a nicely wrapped medium sized box with green, yellow, and blue stripes covering it. She handed the gift to him. "Happy Birthday, Lord Starchbottom." Starchy took the box and rested it on his lap. He turned his head to her and smiled at her. "Thank you so much, Queen Delightful!" He noticed a mini card tag on the side so he opened it and read it aloud. "To: My favorite person in all of the world, Starchy. From: Queen Delightful." He looked up and saw that she had turned a light shade of red. "Well, open it!" He carefully removed the wrapping paper from the box and set it by his feet. He opened the box and found a gold, heart shaped locket with diamonds decorating the cover. "Y-your m-majesty, this...this is beautiful!" Lord Starchbottom continued to stare at the locket for a few moments in awe. Queen Delightful chuckled and opened it for him.

Inside there was a picture of the two of them smiling at the camera. They were both wearing similar hats that read, "Jollywood Fun Times". "Hey I remember this! That was when I started working for you." "And the first Jollywood festival we attended together!" She finished for him. "That's right." He looked at the other side of the locket and saw a small message. "This locket will remind you that I'm always here for you. I love you, Lord Starchbottom. Love, Queen Delightful." Lord Starchbottom was speechless. "Q-queen Delightful, I-I don't know what to say..." Queen Delightful's cheeks turned a darker shade of red. "I'm glad you like it, Starchy. Although do you think the locket would've looked better in sterling silver decorated with emeralds instead?" Starchy flung his arms around the queen and gave her a tight squeeze. He didn't even think twice about hugging her. Of course she was caught by surprise at first but she hugged him back. "It's perfect! I'll treasure it forever. And...I love you too, Queen Delightful."
