There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable.
Adam was a human, this explains it all. He did not want the apple for the apple's sake, he wanted it only because it was forbidden. The mistake was in not forbidding the serpent; then he would have eaten the serpent.
She kept waiting for Dawood's corporation but you can't force anyone. He had other plans obviously. He didn't came but what came to her was extremely out of her league.
She went to the hospital with Noor and was presented with a shattering news.
She got her reports that vividly showcased the words 'POSITIVE'.
Now, she was truly shocked.
'We should tell this to him', Noor gave her a wise opinion of which she was convinced.
'OK, But I'll drop you home first.'
'No, I'll come with you'
'No, I'll handle it on my own'
'But..'
'Please Noor I'm already tired stop bothering me'.
'ok'
After dropping her home she left for his house where she found out that he was at his office. She took his office's address from his housekeeper and was now on her way to his office.
She talked to his receptionist and somehow she managed to explain to her that she was from his family. But she couldn't meet him as he was in a meeting.
'You can wait if you want', she told her with lips bathed in lipgloss.
She waited their for good two and a half hours and when he came out he was with some business class men. He didn't even bother to look at her and got out of the building. She thought he would come back but he didn't.
She asked his receptionist but she was busy with her phone.
She got out of the building and was now thinking of her headings.
Where to..?
He must be at home or... lets call him.
She dialed his number but the operator was way too impatient to say BUSY.
She aimed to his house where the housekeeper again told her about his absence.
Allah, what am I supposed to do now...!!
She was getting frustrated of her situation when she felt him. He was standing behind her observing her carefully.
'What is it?', he asked her, she jumped at his voice and turned around.
'ohh you're here, Dawood its important I need to tell you something urgently', it was until then that she knew she was blabbering and he hates it, a lot.
'Lets go inside', he said in his business tone and they both walked together in the lounge and settled adjacent to each other.
She couldn't pluck up the courage but she needed to tell him and now he was waiting for her to speak.
'Say it', he bellowed and she jumped at his voice.
She couldn't chose the words to tell him, so she took out the report from her bag and placed it on the coffee table between them.
He looked at the envelope with keen eyes and got hold of it. He opened it and took the paper out of envelope's grasp nonchalantly.
She observed his expressions but they gave nothing away. He placed the paper back in its house and placed it on the table.
'So..?', he asked in a collected tone.
'So I was thinking we should..--', she cut amidst her sentence by him.
'Anything but don't ask me to marry you'
'You're joking, right'
'By all means I am serious coz I don't have time for all this shit', he said casually bombing her with another present.
'You can't say that', her voice was a mere whisper.
'I can'
'Don't do this, what would I do now?', she pleaded.
'End it'
'Its not that easy', by now her cheeks were bathed in tears.
'You're making it complicated yourself'
'I'm not, you are making it complicated we have a solution it---
'Just finish it thats it, I don't have time I need to get back to work now', he folded the matter and stood up.
'Why are you doing this to me?'
'I'm not, you came here, remember..?'
With easy quick strides he was out of the lounge, leaving her with a long train of thoughts grinding her senses to madness.
She didn't know how she reached home but when she reached she couldn't carry the level of stress and blacked out at the threshold listening some faint voices in her peripherals.
