"There we go kitten, all cleaned up," he presses on the final band aid. I tilt my head to the side and look up at him.
"Kitten?" He just laughs and runs his hand on the back of his neck.
"Remember? When we were all little and used to play you'd always insist on playing 'kitten stuck in a tree'." He laughs more. I blush brilliant shades of red and then I remember exactly what he was talking about. I always wanted to climb the trees, but because I was so small I could never get down and I'd have one of the boys get me down.
"I do remember that! I always made Adrian get me down and he'd always drop me right on top of you and Chase. I knew you'd catch me but it was just as terrifying every single time." I shudder a little at the memory. I've never been afraid of heights, but when I was dropped from maybe four feet in the air I'd always scream like I was falling to my doom.
"Of course we caught you. Your brothers would've beaten the shit out of me if I let you get hurt. You always seemed so much smaller anyways, I didn't like seeing you hurt." He smiled a little at me. We just sat there for a moment reminiscing about our childhood.
"Ooh! I forgot to say thank you for patching me up," he shook his head
"It was no problem. Besides you practically peeled me off the pavement and got me all fixed up."
We head downstairs and I look at the time. It's about 8 o'clock now. I should probably put together some breakfast for my brothers.
"Do you wanna go get Isabel and bring her over? I'm gonna make breakfast and I know you have a lot going on and can't cook for the life of you." He nodded his head and ran out the front door yelling over his shoulder that he'd be back in five.
I begin making the French toast and right after I make the first few pieces I can here the creaking of somebody coming downstairs.
"Aww hell yeah! I can smell your French toast from upstairs! I call the first pieces!" Sean comes around the corner in spongebob pajama pants and a white t shirt. Looking like a child. As usual. The door opens and in walks Alex holding Isabel who is in her pajamas still. Right when she sees Sean she screams.
"SEAANNN!" She makes grabby hands at him and Alex hands her over and Sean starts spinning around with her.
"You know you used to do that," Alex comments.
"I used to do what?"
"You used to get that excited when I came over,"
I blush profusely. Alex was definitely my child hood crush. He never had any idea nor did he feel the same way but I was head over heels in love with him. Pretty much up until ninth grade when we weren't as close.
Alex saw me as his little sister even though we were in the same grade, he was a year older than me and a couple heads taller. Always was taller than me actually. Even when we were little six year olds he had a good six to eight inches on me.
Now, I'm 5 foot 7 and about an average height. He's like 6 foot 4 and the size of a NBA star. His mom is 5'9" and his dad is 6'6", there is no way he's done growing yet.
"It's okay, you know. I was pretty much just as excited to see you guys." Right. You guys. Plural. Apparently I'm still a bit salty..
I look over and see Isabel laughing her head off as Sean runs around the living room with her on his back.
I plate up all the French toast, and get out the maple syrup and some berries. I also get out whipped cream for myself.Adrian and chase come down the stairs screaming about who gets the first slices. I interrupt them.
"Sorry guys, you're too late. Sean gets the first slices. After Isabel of course." I wink in her direction and she giggles. Sean sets her down in the seat next to him and they both take a seat and smile at me similarly. I laugh and give them both two slices of French toast before serving Alex, Chase and Adrian.
We all eat in a comfortable silence. The only noise being the scraping of our plates"Sooo I'm gonna ask. Why are you so beat up?" Asks Chase. Of course we should've probably explained that.
"Running accident," I mutter and quickly stuff my face with French toast so I can avoid the avalanche that's sure to come.
"Again?!" Shouts Sean.
Okay so I have a track record of running into things. So what? I haven't died yet.
"You poor, poor man. Our condolences that our sisters a klutz." Adrian places a hand over his heart and pats Alex on the back.
"You sure are a trooper," says Chase as he shakes his head."Guys! I am not that bad. Besides, we both made it out without any major injuries!"
"I'm glad it was me and not some strange guy, who knows where that would've went." I glare at him and he puts his hands up in surrender. Attention from the male population is not appreciated in front of my brothers, I'm still their baby sister. Emphasis on baby.
"Good. Now that we got that covered, Isabel you wanna go swimming in my pool?" Her face lights up and so does Sean's.
"Yes! Pool party! I wanna play Marco Polo." I swear he is actually six.
"Actually I didn't invite you. It's a girls day." Isabel grabs my hand and pulls me into the hallway.
"It's okay, I like parties too!"I guess it's going to be a party then.
A/N: I can't wait to give her brothers better personalities, rn they feel kinda boring. Also more Isabel😊 I literally picture her as that cute little kid everyone wishes was their younger sibling ya know?
