It wasn't long after Royal Pain left that the announcer came on to, well, announce the fight.
"Tonight ladies and gentlemen, we have Razor versus Royal Pain!" There is thundering clapping and cheering coming from those surrounding the ring. The people dancing nod their heads in acknowledgement and the people at the barberry much ignore it. The description of both fighters is relatively general, and similar to the other night so I just zone out. Zach and Rosie are now talking in hushed tones, enthralled by each other. Ro hands me her keys because she's obviously going back to his place at some point. They both stay at the bar so I decide to at least not go off by myself. I hear the crowd quieting and the announcer introducing both the fighters in the ring. I hear the bell and almost immediately I hear the sound of a body hitting the ground. I almost hope it isn't Royal Pain.
The fight doesn't last long before the finishing bell goes off. The bartender from before makes his way back down to me.
"Did you catch who won?" He asks me while wiping out the inside of a whiskey glass with a white rag.
"No, sorry I didn't care who won so I didn't pay attention," at this his eyebrows soar up his forehead.
"I would've assumed that with Royal being your boyfriend and all you'd have listened," I immediately start laughing, as the cute blonde looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Boyfriend? No way. That's the second time I've seen him in my entire life. He just has a fancy towards the fact that I ignore his arrogant ass." The bartender throws his head back and laughs along then.
"I just assumed from the whole possessive thing and then the close conversation that you were spoken for," I shake my head at him,
"Well, I am not." He grins then at me, a warm smile that makes me want to smile too.
"Then I don't feel bad about hanging out with you," he continues wiping out glasses while looking up at me every once in a while.
"So what's your name baby?" I laugh at his nickname.
"Amelia, you?" He looks up at me when he talks
"Romeo, I know-" I interrupt him immediately.
"No it is not, was that supposed to be a pickup line?" He flips the towel over his shoulder and runs a hand through his trendily long hair.
"It seriously is, my mom is a huge book lover, owns a library and everything," he shakes his head yes at me.
"That's actually kind of cute," he nods his head.
"It was either that or Laertes from Hamlet," I nod my head,
"Well I think it suits you, Romeo," he smiles at me,
"Why's that? Have I gotten you to fall in love with me or something?" He turns around to stack some glasses and as I open my mouth to reply Rosie does instead.
"I sure hope not," I look at her with my head tilted to the side, confused.
"Whys that?" Romeo turns to look at her.
"Because your about to have a Royal Pain in your ass if you did,"
"What?" I can't tell if she's insulting me or warning him about actual Royal Pain.
"She can't be that much of a handful," he grins at me and I smile right back.
"Oh no not her," Rosie points across the room "him,"
On the other side of the warehouse I can see Royal Pain making his way through the crowd around the arena while the announcer talks about how he's trying to find his favorite crowd member to surprise them with a gift. He leisurely strolls around in the crowd and I see him making his way around. He stops occasionally to chat with people or accept congratulations. But his park is most certainly directed towards the bar, and therefore me.
"He can't dictate who I am friends with! Neither does he care, he just likes messing with me," I look back and forth from Romeo, who has conveniently gone back to ignoring me, and Rosie who is grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Sweetie if he didn't care then why would he be coming over here right now?" I get up and try to get as far away from the bar as possible, when Rosie grabs my arm simultaneously pulling me back into my seat.
"Sit the hell down and shut the fück up girl. You deserve a guy who wants to treat you like a queen, you deserve a king. And if Royal Pain is going to give that to you, then I, as your best friend, must insure that it will happen." I try to speak but she cuts me off against
"Matt was an asshole, one who sucked the light from you to fuel his darkness. Nothing you say can convince me to let you run like Cinderella from this man who is going to blow your mind," she gives me a pointed look and I sigh. She really won't back down, and I know that. She is the most stubborn person I've ever met. We continue staring at each other having a silent conversation. I feel his eyes on my back and before I turn he whispers to me,
"If I blow your mind, what will you do for me?" He laughs at his own joke and my cheeks turn bright red.
"Just teasing you princess, I'd never make you do anything your uncomfortable with," he winks and puts his hand out to shake Rosie's.
"You must be the best friend?" She nods her head and gives his hand a firm shake.
"You must be the secret admirer,"
"Secret? No, I'm fairly confrontational," Yes and no. Yes he likes to chat me up, but no he doesn't give me any information about himself or ask for any of mine.
"Um actually yes secret, we have no idea who you are." He starts laughing so hard he's doubled over.
"Woah okay I thought that was just you role playing or something. But I guess I'll give you a hint little one," he smiles a little bit, and thinks to himself. Ro and I glance at each other and shrug shoulders.
"I'm the only one who talks to you like this. Ever."
"Wait, that's not-"
"Uh uh sweetheart that's all you get tonight. Come to my next fight and I'll give you another hint." He winks at me and slips me a small box, and disappears into the crowd.

Okay so hopefully you guys all know who he is, but Amelia is dumb af and is gonna take some time to figure it out. Get a couple more gifts and some more hints. Also Idk where the Romeo part came from I just felt I needed it. Sue me.
