He was so full of energy. It was like he was bursting with life, and it seemed that when ever he entered a room, it was just a happier place to be. He was the life of the party and could make anyone smile. His name is Sky. But he had a darker side to him. The nights when he would break down, the nights where the only thing he wanted was the pain and the sight of the color red, the nights where he knew he was unstable, and liked it. Scars and fresh and old cuts alike where all in neat order, one after each-other, filling up his arms. Those neat little lines calmed him, kept him from hurting those he cared about. No one would suspect a guy like him to cut. Who would? Everyone but Ty. Ty noticed how sky chose to wear long sleeves even though it was hot, how he liked to stack wristbands on his wrists and chose to avoid most people more often. He new something was wrong with his friend, and he wanted to help.

It was around 9:30 pm, and sky was in the middle of another one of his panic attacks. The thunderstorm outside wasn't helping, and with every crack of thunder more of his sanity drifted away. His pupils where dilated unnaturally small, and his laughter filled the house. His sunglasses where strewn on the floor along with his amulet, and a blade was in his hand. With fluid strokes, he overlapped the old cuts. Blood dropped down his arms and into his lap, but he didn't care. The more bloodier the better. Ty crept behind his deranged friend and hugged him from behind, gripping sky's wrists. "Drop the blade" ty whispered. Sky hisses at the pain, and glared at ty. "Let me go. Maybe I like it this way!" His voice came out as a low growl, and ty was a bit frightened. "You can't keep on hurting yourself." Slowly, Ty slipped the blade from sky's hands. Sky's breathing was erratic, and he was shaking uncontrollably. "Shhh calm down.." Ty cooed, slowly attempting to reach his friend through his panic filled haze. Another clap of thunder shook the house, and soon after it was followed by a flash of lightening. Sky whimpered and buried his head into Ty's shoulder. Ty led his friend into the bathroom and sat him down on the edge of the bath tub. He opened the cabinet, and cursed under his breath when he couldn't find what he was looking for. "Stay right here ok? And please don't hurt your self, ok?" Sky could only nod. His rage was slowly fading away, being replaced with a sort of desperation and fear. Ty ran down the stairs and into the other bathroom, where he found what he was looking for. He grabbed the bandages and the rubbing alcohol before running back upstairs again. He sat next to sky, and didn't object when his friend leaned on him. He started to clean sky's wounds, earning a hiss of pain and a flinch. "Why would you do this..?" Ty whispered. He was finished wrapping the wounds, and he turned to face sky. His friend couldn't even look him in the eyes as he told his story. His mother was gone, Divorced from his dad. The bullying had gotten worse, and when sky told him about how he had been beaten by the kids at school, ty had made him take his shirt off. Ty couldn't help but admire Sky's tan skin, and was horrified to see it marked by purple and blue bruises. He explained how he had a hard time dealing with things. How much he was stressed because he had to constantly hide everything. How he had thought about taking his own life multiple times. How one time he almost did. Ty...well ty didn't know what to say. His eyes where filled with tears and he couldn't help but hug his friend. "You should have told me along time ago. I love you, you know!" He covered his mouth when he said that, and he felt his face turn red. "Y-you do??"sky mumbled. His face was also flushed, and he couldn't help bit smile. "So do I." Sky said, right before tackling Ty as best as he could with a bruised body and pulling him into a long kiss.
