Sky ran as if his life depended on it. Which, in this case, it did. His chocolatey brown wings where folded against his back, and his nails unusually sharp. He was the result of an experiment, being experiment 408. He was the result of making an artificial angel weapon, one to trick the enemy into thinking they where blessed before dispatching them quickly with the retractable claws. After many tortuous tests, pills, shots, and solitary containment till the point of insanity, he had escaped. His wings unfurled and he launched himself into the sky, his broad wings catching the warm air and propelling him forward. Seeing a minor cave system, sky dived down, crashing into the ground and bending a wing. He cursed under his breath and trudged into the cave, leaning against the wall before slumping down to the floor. His wings and arms ached, his claws covered in dried blood from the scientists that had gotten in the way. He pressed himself against the wall when he heard footsteps and saw the faint glow of a light, and hissed with pain as his crippled wing was squished. His eyes widened as a man in a suit, shades and a yellow orange tie walked in. The man paused when he saw him, slowly setting the lantern he had been carrying down. He raised his hands in a surrender, showing he wouldn't hurt him. Sky slowly got up and walked towards the strange man, jumping back with a hiss when the man took a step forward. "I'm bodil... who are you?" The man said this at a soothing tone, helping to calm sky down a bit. Not wanting to speak yet, sky simply rolled up the sleeve to his black shirt, showing his name, and his experiment number branded into his arm. Bodil looked shocked at the branding, and his hands slowly returned to his sides. Bodil turned quickly, bending down to sit. This movement sent sky down deeper into the cave in fear, but Bodil sat calmly. He waited till sky creeped back out and towards him, finally gaining enough courage to sit infront of the Bulgarian. Bodil gave a soft smile, and laughed quietly when sky poked his cheek before recoiling to the opposite wall of the cave. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I promise." Sky tilted his head and narrowed his eyes. He didn't know whether or not to trust this so called bodil, but his eyes where heavy and his wings hurt. Bodil closed his eyes, but he wasn't asleep. He could hear the angel creep towards him, and blushed when he felt the other press against him, his head nestled in the crook of his neck. Sky looked up at bodil, poking his cheek again and yelping when bodil's eyes opened. Bodil smiled again. "Its ok, don't worry." He said before cautiously wrapping an arm around sky, being careful not to aggravate his feathery wings and frighten him. Sky was confused at this gesture, but it was way nicer then what he had experienced at the lab. For the first time on a long while, he felt safe. A kiss was pressed to the top of his head has he slowly drifted off into sleep, and bodil soon joined him, their dreams scattered with caves and feathers, always ending with eachother in the others arms. For bodil, he felt happy to have gained his trust. For sky, he felt happy to finally feel safe again in someone's arms.
