**Joeys POV **
Shane and I had decided to take Lacey to the shopping mall today, Miley was going out to look for another job. She didn't like driving half an hour to work every morning, so she quit - as she does with most of her jobs from what I've heard. - Lacey had dragged Shane into Toys'R'us where they were both looking at the different Barbie dolls.
Lacey: Shane! Look! A mermaid one!
Shane: Gurl, you should've spotted these earlier. Oh my god look at the blue one!
Lacey: I like the pink one better.
Shane: so you're telling me Rebecca is prettier than... Dap-he-ne?
Lacey: It's not Dap-he-ne!
Shane: then how the hell do you say that?
Lacey: Joey what does this say?
Lacey grabbed the box the mermaid was in and thrust it up in the air, showing me the twirly blue lettering.
Joey: that's, Daphne. Shane you don't know how to say Daphne!?
Shane: well, no.
Joey: well we can't buy a Barbie that Shane doesn't know how to say the name of, so we'll have to get Rebecca and the purple one, Alaska.
Shane: okay that is the stupidest name ever, who would name someone a country?
Joey: don't judge a Barbie doll.
Lacey: wait, you're getting me two barbies!?

Joey: wait a minute I forgot the mayonnaise!
I jogged back down the isles of the grocery store to find the jar of food that was missing from our shopping cart. We had spent another hour in Toys'R'us picking an extra outfit each for the mermaid barbies. It turns out the mermaid tail clips on and off, underneath the tail are two plastic legs. For Rebecca, Lacey chose a Sparkly cheerleader costume and Alaska had gotten a purple dress to match the color of her tail.
I clutched the first jar of mayonnaise I saw, before sprinting back to the checkout where Lacey was whine to Shane about something.
Lacey: please Shane! Just one more!
Shane: no! shhh! Joey's coming!
Joey: what?
Shane: uh... nothing.
I rolled my eyes at him and placed the jar on the checkout, out of the corner of my eye I noticed what else had been added recently.
Joey: Shane.
Shane: what?
Joey: put the chocolate back.
Shane: it's not for me though,
Joey: Lacey already has had heaps of treats today. put them back.
Shane: no.
Joey: put. it. back. now.
Shane: fine!
Joey: you're so childish Shane.
Shane:me? childish? who was arguing with me the other night?
Joey: you think I'm childish? oh, i'll be childish.
Shane: fine.
I quickly swiped my credit card and payed for the groceries, before grabbing a few of the bags leaving Shane the rest and stalked out to Satsuki.

I was still acting like a child. Now I was running outside my house with just a tank top and sweatpants in the freezing cold. Lacey had been picked up not too long ago, leaving it just me and Shane.
Shane: Joey, get inside you'll catch a cold.
Joey: no, because I'm a child.
Shane: ugh, you're a pain.
Joey: no. I'm a child.
Shane: Get the fuck inside now, Joey! I'm sick of you're stupid fucking games!
Joey: my stupid fucking games? you are the one who started it all!
Shane: for fucks sake! I'm leaving!
Shane strolled across the front lawn towards his car which was a few feet behind me, he stopped short in his tracks a meter in front of me and looked up at the sky and watched something. I followed his gaze, looking upwards and seeing the first tiny snowflake of the year drifting down and slowly landed in Shane's out-stretched hand.
I looked up meeting Shane's eyes.
Shane: sorry
He stepped forward and hugged me tightly, whispering apologies in my ear. I lent back and placed a gentle kiss on his lips the kiss didn't move. just our two lips pouted against each other, as my hands snaked up to his cheeks and his found my waist. We both pulled back at the same time sighing and opening our eyes only for a split second before closed the gap between us again in a heated make-out session, both of us shivering in the cold.
