Her heart was shattered
Like the dawn breaking through the foggy reserve of twilight
Her heart was split in twoHer mind did not know peace
The constant tumult of typewriter keys were the only sound to keep her sane
Her mind was in constant clamorHer soul ached
Like the relentless battering strokes of oily paint on an unfortunate canvas
Her inner self shudderedShe had fallen in love
The greatest of pain was her feet forcefully striking the ground after she leapt in
Heart breaking, mind bending, soul thrashing pain
So she wrote it all down
And swore to never love again
And with that, never to leave herself vulnerable again
Because with love and vulnerability comes disappointment and pain
