This is for all of those hurting.
All of those who are lost.
All of those who are broken and shattered and hopeless.
Through the twisting turns of life;
all of the blind corners and steep slopes,
they all result in something so much bigger than us.
The result is unpredictable and utterly confusing.
We are left alone with nothing but our thoughts.
The silence in the forest of thought we so frequently find ourselves lost in tells us to be brave,
but we don't know how, and we honestly don't know what for.
The truth is that most of us follow the norm.
We don't question the role we have been forced into.
We are a puppet meant to be controlled and to entertain.
We don't realize that we can break the mold we have been forcibly squeezed into.
That's where bravery comes in.
There are events that we don't expect every so often,
and they leave us twisted and mangled in our own confused, bewildered thoughts.
Our highest highs just lead to the lowest of lows.
We never know what to expect, and that is a part of the naivety that is so blatantly obvious yet hidden to the naked eye in every life.
The bravery that is needed isn't always obvious.
It isn't tangible and we sometimes ignore its existence.
Although this is true, every person must make the subconscious decision:
fight or give up.
Are we going to give up on our desires? On ourselves?
On our dreams?
On life?
Or are we going to fight?
Are we going to fight because we know that we matter?
Because we know that hope is worth it?
Because life is worth living?
We must all make the resolve in our hearts to live.
To fight.
To never give up.
So please remember that the things we experience,
the pain we endure,
and the events that cause us sadness and grief,
they are all things we must fight through.
And, the expectations that kill us,
the pressure placed on us,
and the decisions already made for us,
fight them.
You aren't going to make a difference if you don't take a stand. This is for all of those hurting.
All of those who are lost.
All of those who are broken and shattered and hopeless.
