Yui goes to HQ

YUI'S  P.O.V

I was already so excited to join the scouts and Commander Erwin's speech made me even more motivated. I started speed walk down the dirt field towards the horse stables. Eren suddenly grabbed my wrist.

" Hey Yui, if we don't end up on the same squad, I want you to know I will protect you. Just know that even though we are separated we are still best friends ok.." He said as he was looking at the ground. He gripped me wrist slightly more tightly.

I blushed lightly and responded to him. "I know that Eren. I will protect you, Mikasa and Armin as well , if you guys are in danger.  Don't forget I was ranked in fourth place." I winked and laughed at him. I wonder will I ever tell him how I truly feel? After 2 years of keeping it inside ?

He smiled brightly, which made me relived.  The four of us and about twenty other cadets followed Erwin to the horse stables. I got on my horse and so did the others. I wasn't the best at horseback-riding so I dreaded it. " Hey Jean" I stroked it's hair. Jean unfortunately turned around and looked at me .

" Hey you bitch I heard you. Just cause Jeager said 'horseface' once, doesn't mean you have to keep it going. Please rename your horse." Jean snarled.

I laughed under my breath and looked back at him. " How about I call it Mikasa. Huh, would you like that?" I was hysterically laughing as I said it.

Jean had a dark aura around him. I could see his demons. It was hilarious. " You are so goddam annoying. You realize that right ? Put whatever name you want your a waste of my precious time." Jean said angrily.

Jean huh. Must be French for douchebag. We all simultaneously looked at Commander Erwin. " Onward Scouts!" We all put our fists to the sky and shouted. " For humanity's sake!"

It was about a half an hour horse ride. I saw Sasha complaining to Connie about the shortage of potatoes last month. They started to argue and yell. It was one hell of a show. I was gazing behind me. Remembering the memories back at training. I've become so much strong I thought to myself, it was all worth it.

We finally made it to HQ. It was old, I have to admit. At the same time, it looked like a royal palace. The old cracked concrete and the vines along the building . It was a like a historic structure. Out of nowhere I saw someone open one of the windows at the top of HQ. It was none other than Levi Ackerman. He was dressed in his cleaning attire. I laughed because I knew how obsessed he was with cleaning, so did the other cadets. Levi was humanity's strongest though. He didn't appear as the title, but when you see him in action it's breathtaking. I hoped to be a great Coporal just like him one day. Maybe even have my own squad. It was unrealistic but I guess I could dream.

" I am so proud of you all. You're sacrifice will better humanity. I want to go over expectations, paperwork and then we can start assigning you to a squad." Erwin announced as he opened the front door to HQ and signalled us to walk in behind him.

We all started around like lost children. We were fascinated by how big and clean the grand hall was.  Must have been squad Levi. Erwin then told us to walk upstairs to show us our sleeping and living chambers.

After he explained how our living quarters, lifestyle would work , we filled out our paperwork and registration Erwin finally came to me. Erwin was so tall, he was basically towering over me. " Hello cadet what's your name?" He questioned.
