Yui's Flashback

I headed back to my room. What Ayato told me really disturbed me, but, I was glad to finally be alone and to think. I remembered how my mom, who I don't even remember died when I was 5. I had the best of friends to help me get through her passing though.

I was missing Mikasa and Armin already, but I'm truly missing Eren. All of our memories together as kids, back in Wall Maria, before the Armored and Colossal Titan breached the wall. He used to come over everyday. We would play on the swings, chase eachother with sticks, and we used to tell eachother scary stores before we went to bed. He didn't change one bit. He sometimes brought Mikasa and Armin and we would gather sticks together.

Oh Eren, I reached out my hand. Why can't it go back to the old days? When we were just simple little kids? Wondering about life outside of the walls?

I sighed. I put on my pyjamas and brushed my teeth. I then went into my neat bed. Wow. For rude vampire brothers, they keep their quarters pretty nice to be honest.

As I lay my head down on my fluffy pillow, I had a flashback; a blurry memory.

* FLASHBACK BEGINS*

" Yui I guess we'll see you tomorrow then! We meet us by the rocks at the river! " Armin shouted as him, Eren and Mikasa walked

" Yeah sure okay! " I shouted back. I then started walking inside my home. I knew dad was home. I brought home potatoes for dinner.

" YUI! Sweetheart are you home yet?" Dad shouted from the kitchen.

" HEY DAD!" I started approaching the kitchen where he was found . " I brought home some potatoes for supper."

I smiled at him. I was so innocent back then. Like the world was my outlet.

" Uhm well... I don't think.. I can prepare you dinner tonight Yui." He was running his fingers through his hair as he was sweating.

He then patted me on the head. I remember being confused from that statement.

" Dad why not? You always make me dinner. Everyday. Why is it today different, Dad?" I remember asking my frantic old man.

He put his hands on my shoulders.

"Yui.... I have to leave this town. I have to get away. From them...." Dad said as he put his head on the table.

" Dad who are you talking about? " I asked.

" I'll explain to you when you're older darling. I'm sure you wouldn't understand now." Dad said as he lifted his head from the table and patted my blonde hair.

" But... Dad, who will take care of me?" Yui asked.

" I'm going to drop you of at Mr. Buck's house. He's great with kids your age. He will be taking care of you until you are old enough to join a regiment."

Dad was then approaching the back door instead of the front. He began putting on his boots and jacket.

" C'mon Yui, get ready. I need to drop you off with Mr. Buck, or else I cannot leave. You need to be with someone stable. You're only nine." Dad looked into my pink eyes.
