L O U I S

08:30 PM

“Baby please don’t go” I sang after the brunette as he strolled away from me leaving me alone in the middle of the floor with scrambled cards and Paul and Preston oblivious of the situation as they scrolled through their phones.

“You guys are boring” I said after five minutes of silence between the three of us. They didn’t acknowledge my existence as they ignored me happily.

I got off the floor and sat on the metal seats. Zayn actually has been in the bathroom for the past thirty minutes. I snickered at the idea of Zayn having diarrhea or constipation sitting on the public toilet probably crying his eyes out for touching anything that has germs. That lad has serious germ phobic issues.

Looking around the airport’s waiting area; I noticed a female sitting three rows behind me. Her head was buried in a heavy looking book I would never bother reading. Dressed in a long brown skirt, a black plain shirt, and a black button up, I couldn’t help but wonder what her face looked like behind that book of hers.

Chewing on the inside of my mouth, my curiosity got the best of me. I got on both my feet and was about to march to the female, when of course Paul and Preston decide to pay attention to md now.

“Where you goin’?” Preston asked, his eyes no longer focused on the screen. I pointed at the female and winked at both men and strolled over to her.

I stood right in front of her, as she slowly lowered the book from her face. In my mind, the book seemed to be removed in slow motion – like in cliché movies – as anticipation built up to see her.

Reveling a forehead covered with black hair mixed with golden streaks.

Long eyelashes.

Big square glasses.

A button nose.

Small pink lips.

Chin.

She moved the book away from her face, and her big blue eyes looked at my own blue eyes. My breath hitched as I fell in love with her extremely blue eyes with gold freckles around the corner of her irises. They made mine look plain and boring, while hers looked like the color of the sky on a sunny day after heavy rain.

“Excuse me?” she asked with a voice that I could not compare to anyone else’s. It sounded pure, and femal-ish enough for me.

“Oh hi” I chocked out the words as I realized I must have been staring rudely at her, “I’m Louis” I extended my hand for her.

“Hello Louis” she moved the book on her lap and shook my hand, “May I help you?”

Without another word, I sat beside the black haired female, and smiled happily at her looking like a five year old child, not a twenty two year old man.

“Um” she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she gaped at my unexpected gesture of bothering her reading session.

“What’s your name?” I asked not bothering to remove the grin plastered on my face.

“Lisa” she said uncomfortably, “Sorry, do you need anything?”

“Company! My best friends left me, and well, I’m bored” I opened my legs obnoxiously not removing my gaze from her shrugging my shoulders.

“You do know I was reading right?” she picked up the book and waved it in my face.

“Aren’t you bored? You’ve been there for quite a while I assume”

“Yes, but I do enjoy reading in my spare time”

“Seriously?” I chuckled. Lisa rolled her eyes at my childish behavior and moved the book back to her face as she began reading again.

“Soooo” I interrupted again, now bopping my legs up and down in an annoying manner which Lisa of course despised.

“Oh my god” she pinched the bridge of her nose, “What do you want?” she threw at my innocent look.

“I want to have fun, and you’re not helping” I crossed my thin looking legs together removing my gaze from the hypnotizing blue of her eyes.

“Go annoy someone else yeah?” she looked around and spotted the twenty seven tattoos bloke and nudged her head at him, “Go to him”

My face turned horrified, “He’ll eat me with one look Lisa”

She smiled at me then hastily covered the smile as a blush crept on her face, which I barely noticed as I kept staring at the terrifying bloke.

“Well you’re eating my head up” she replied and returned her attention to her more interesting book.

“Come on Lisa, let’s do something other than this silly book” I whined.

“Never” she looked at me, “Call” she took a deep breath, “My” closing her eyes, “Book” she balled her fists, “Stupid”

“Okay, okay” I raised both my hands up in defeat, “Sorry, chill”

Lisa relaxes again, but now her concentration is not fully on the interesting book she was engrossed in. Now her attention was fully on me as I sat beside her clearly annoying her. My plan worked, I now have her full attention.

“Fine, what do you want to do?” she marked a page on her book and placed it in her handbag.

“Well…” I mischievously smiled and Lisa probably mentally smacked herself for accepting my offer.
