Z A Y N

10:10 PM

“Mind moving up here please?” I asked the brunette as I stood up stretching my long legs that were stiff from the way I was bending down on them.

“I told you to sit properly on the floor” she rolled her eyes playfully at me.

“You never know who stepped in here”

“Are you like germ phobic or something?” she asked amused with how irritated I am by the bathroom floor, while she was hugging her knees to her chest comfortably bending on the wall, on the bathroom tiles.

“No, I just… Hate public bathrooms” I chewed on my lip and shifted uncomfortably on my feet.

“Okay bossy” she extended her hands to me, “Help me up” I pulled her up to her feet as she gripped the corner of the sink and sat on the empty dry space on the sink. I couldn’t help but feel a tingling feeling at the space where she left my hands. I smiled to myself proud that I made her move and sat on the empty space of the sink as well.

Chloe took out a purse from the side, which I didn’t even notice she was carrying, and took out a toothbrush and toothpaste. I raised my eyebrows at her questionably confused.

“I just threw up a bunch of shit, I need to brush my teeth” she explained and opened the water sink. I flinched as she touched the tap, “Oh my god, seriously Zayn?” she chuckled and squeezed toothpaste on her toothbrush and started brushing her teeth.

“Hey Zayn, you alright in there?” Preston walked into the bathroom and stared confused at Chloe brushing her teeth and me staring at her, “Uh…” he furrowed his eyebrows at the both of us.

“Yeah, I’m alright” I chuckled at Preston’s confusion, “We’ll be out in a bit”

“Yeah, okay…” he trailed off and walked out the bathroom.

Chloe spit into the sink and washed her mouth placing the toothpaste and toothbrush back into her bag, “Who’s he?” she asked zipping the bag.

“My bodyguard”

“You sound like such a snob” she scoffed, “My bodyguard” she mocked me using a horrible Bradford accent and a deep voice.

I punched her hand playfully, “Shut up” I said laughing at her, “I don’t even speak like that”

“Yes you do!”

Yes you do” I mocked her back in a high pitched voice and an attempted American accent.

She slapped me on my arm, “Oh my god, I don’t even speak that way”

“Okay, we need to quite this” I laughed jumping off the sink on my feet, “You feeling any better?” I asked her concerned.

“Much better” she jumped off as well, “Thank you so much Zayn” she moved over to me and pulled me in for a hug. I was taken aback by the hug, but then hugged her back and tightly to myself placing my head on top of her hair smelling the fruity shampoo.

She pulled away eventually, which made me feel empty and cold again. Just one hug from her made me feel a bit of warmth, which was quite odd; I just met this girl two hours ago.

“Let’s go out” I pulled her by her wrist gently, “I’ll make you meet the lads”

“Sure” she smiled tugging at the purse hanging on her shoulders as I let go of her wrist after realizing I’ve been holding it for the past 30 seconds.
