~ Chapter 6: Getting Help from Kelp (Rhyming was Accidental – Maybe) ~

I watch the black dragon take off with my lady sitting in the saddle. I'm still stuck to this auburn haired girl. I finally got her to go to my lady, but this girl will not listen to me. She won't take my advice. She won't get rid of me and my lady disappeared again.

I have got to fix this problem.

I'm coming, Lady Smoke, I promise.

I wake up with a horrid headache. My temples pound and the lights of the world hurt my eyes as I squint them open.

I'm still on Cai, my head still pressed against his warm, rough neck. I turn my head slowly and eye my sister lounging between Cai's wings, reading a school book she found in my saddlebags. Anakin's head is on her stomach and he's stretched out toward Cai's tail, sleeping.

I groan, closing my eyes again and sit up slowly. My body feels horrible. Like I've dropped from a tree and landed on concrete – which I have done before.

"Hey," there's a thud as Tempest shuts the book. "You've been asleep for a long time. I was getting a little worried." She puts a hand on my shoulder.

"I feel terrible." I mumble. As if to prove that point, my stomach clenches and I nearly gag.

Tempest just looks at me curiously. Thank for the concern, I didn't need it, but I'm glad you're worried about me.

"Smoke, you really need to lay off the sarcasm. That was rude."

I try to respond to Cai, but I can barely think past the horrid pain in my head. "Ugh..." I drop my head back to his neck and shut my eyes. That's better. Darkness doesn't hurt my brain so much.

Tempest is talking, but I only start listening when she says two certain names. "...Eaton found Coven."

I jolt up slightly and glance back. "What?"

Tempest sighs, as if she knew I wasn't listening, but was hoping I was. "We've been trailing behind Eaton for the past hour. Rayn thinks I'm off doing official Battlemage stuff, so she gave me a call and said that she needs me to find Coven Chwastek. Know the name?"
