~ Epilogue ~
Felix growls at the little girl riding his back. She continues to swing around from his bones like they're a playground. They aren't. She's just like Darcy, so demanding and very rude.
Growling a little more and rolling his eyes, Felix kneels down against the soft, pine covered ground. The Nysos Mountains have a wonderful, thick, unnamed forest made mostly of evergreens and provide the perfect cover for him to travel under.
"Dragon!" The girl is suddenly on his head and waving in front of the red orbs of his eyes. Her short black hair falls in front of her nose, she took her knife to it the other day in anger. Her brunt gold eyes shine like twin North stars. She still has the child features, rosy cheeks and un-matured mind. "When are we going to get to my grandmother's?"
Felix snarls, shoving her back. With her crazy flexibility she catches herself and begins swinging around again, this time on the long bones of his neck. He grovels, but merely stretches out. It's gotten dark and dangerous. Having only Red Fire makes protecting himself – let alone this girl – hard. He'll burn the whole forest down if he happens to ignite one little leaf, and even though he'll survive, the girl won't, and she – no matter how annoying – needs to survive. She has to finish what Darcy started.
"I want to go home!" She complains, hanging upside down from his ribs.
He wishes she'd be quiet. If she's to ever complete Darcy's legacy then she's going to need to realize that she can't talk so much or be so childish. It doesn't matter that she's only eleven, she'll have to grow up soon.
Because if she were to take over the world now, everyone would be commanded to eat ice cream and love pink.
Felix is not wearing pink, no matter how much this annoying girl demands.
"Dragon?" The girl asks. He glances back at her. She's sitting on the ground now; tearing at pokey needles. "Why did he leave me? Why did they both leave me?" She sounds sad.
Felix suddenly wishes he could console her. Could tell her that Darcy didn't leave her. That her father wasn't supposed to die. But she can't hear him. She's not a Rider and isn't related to his Rider, just a little girl who's destined to end the world.
Destined to end everyone.
Destined to kill the queen once and for all.
Felix grins darkly.
Vengeance will come painfully to that Multi, Black Dragon Rider.

[Note]: So, this is the ending if I continue into B3. This will not be the ending if I don't. But NOW it's over! Whoop! Whoop! How many questions do you have at this exact moment?
Reader (a.k.a. me): two or three.
Author (yes, I differentiate between reader-me and author-me): a couple thousand... you know what, make that a million... or a couple billion.
What was I saying earlier about needing to plan my books?
A little hint into B3 (if it happens): It's set four years after this book (which basically means three years after Epilogue). Want to guess why?
Throw me some ideas for B3, maybe I'll stutter to life and try a few. Right now I'm going to work on a JMF to see if giving myself a break from Smoke and her craziness will help.
Thanks for sharing in another adventure with me, but hang on a few more months, cause this roller-coaster ain't (yes, I'm aware that's not a word) over! Or, at least, I hope it isn't.
