Gene's POV.
I sighed as I rang the doorbell to Zenix's house, pausing to run a hand through my hair trying to fix it. The front door suddenly swung open to reveal Zenix's mom.
I awkwardly looked down at her since I was taller than her and smiled. "Oh, hey Gene, I assume you're here to see Zenix?" She asked. "Yes Ma'am." I said. "Well come on in, he's been miserable, I'm sure seeing you will perk him right up." She said before walking in.
I went in after her and quickly walked up the stairs. I stopped at Zenix's room and knocked on it. "Yeeaaahhh..?" I heard him groan. "Guess who..?" I smirked. "Oh my Irene.. is it the pope?" He asked. "Really?" I asked. "I know it's you Gene, geez I was just joking." Zenix said.
I laughed and opened his bedroom door to see him laying stomach down on the bed. "Hey babe." I said, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hey." He said, coughing a little. "How are you?" I asked. "Sick and Tired.." He replied. "Awwee, does my boyfriend need a hug and a nap?" I joked. "Yeah.. but I don't wanna get you sick.." Zenix said. "Nonsense, come here!" I exclaimed, holding my arms out.
Zenix sighed and sat up before hugging me back. We stayed like that for a moment before I pulled away and gave him a quick kiss. "You're still adorable, even when you're sick." I said. "Shut up." Zenix blushed. "Oh, by the way I brought school work that you missed." I said. "Awe Man! I don't wanna do school work.. I wanna cuddle.." Zenix pouted. I started laughing and he looked at me with a confused look.
"You honestly think I went to class today?" I asked. "Oh, right.. I still wanna cuddle though." Zenix said. I smirked and laid down, pulling him down beside me. "As you wish~" I said. Zenix blushed and nuzzled into my chest.
He fell asleep as I slowly stroked his hair. I couldn't help but start to doze off myself. But just as I was about to fall asleep I heard the door open.
"Hey, Zenix, grandma is brin-" I tensed up but kept my eyes closed. "Awwe, that's adorable.." I heard Zenix's mom whisper before she closed the door.
