Calista's POV

School was so boring today. Even more than usual. Classes seemed longer, breaks seemed shorter, it was like prison...

Anyway, I spent most of the day with Leann, and Calum of course. Oddly I didn't see Luke or Michael today. Ashton is still sick, luckily it's just a cold, but he's stating home still. After school was volleyball tryouts, so Leann and I were going to, you know, try out. We went to the girls' locker room to change, and we came out wearing the volleyball uniform. I kind of hate it because the shorts were really short, and in all, was just really ugly. We walked into the gym where the volleyball coach and the other girls were. They were in the bleachers waiting for the basketball team to finish practice.

I was watching and noticed that Michael, Calum, and Luke were on the team! How come they didn't tell me? I don't think they noticed me in the audience though. They finally finished practice and the basketball team, being the "gentlemen" that they are, helped us set up.

In the middle of set-up, and us doing warm ups, Stephanie comes trotting in.

"So sorry I'm late, I forgot." She said putting on a fake, apologetic smile.

"That's ok Stephanie, go line up, and bend over to touch the floor." Coach said. Stephanie walks across the court, swaying her hips back and forth, while biting her lip. I don't know if she's trying to look seductive, or if she's trying to hind a constipated face. Anyway, when she reached the line, she bent over to do stretches. A lot of the basketball players cat called, and made perverted comments in. Except for Luke, Calum, and Michael. They are the only ones that have are mature, much less have a brain.

---

I don't want to brag, but I'm pretty great at volleyball. I've been playing since 4th grade, and always make the team. Right now we're doing a practice round. The assistant coach, Marcos, who is a senior in high school, is picking teams. Since 24 girls signed up, we had 4 games. Currently my team, me, Leann, Alex, Ashley, Kathryn, and Melanie, are against Belle, Amy, Stacy, Sophie, Jena, and Stephanie. It was Stephanie's turn to serve, but she kept whining about breaking her nails.

Every time, Marcos would go help her by showing how to position her arms, and hit the ball. I knew she was only doing this because she Marcos is her next "target". Basically, she joins the team, only because of the assistant coaches. Every year, a senior volunteers to help, then Stephanie asks for an "after practice lesson". Then it all goes downhill from there.

She finally got the ball over the net, and it came straight for me. I dove for it, and hit it really hard, and it went towards Stephanie. She was too busy looking at Marcos to notice, that it hit her right in the face! I was trying so hard not to laugh. I look over at Leann, who is in the same state as me. I'm positioned front middle, and Leann is to the left of me, so I quickly scooted over to her, and she gave me a secret high-five.

I look over at Stephanie who was boiling with anger. She looked over at me and pointed her over-manicured claw at me.

"You. You did it on purpose!" She growled. Oh no she didn't. Coach Ari and Marcos looked at me. I looked between them. I put my hands up in surrender," I swear it was an accident! I would never intentionally do that!" Apparently they didn't buy it.

"Marcos, would you please take Calista to the principal's office?" Coach Ari said. He nodded and gestured for my to follow me. I groaned, and did I was told. While we were walking in the hallway, Marcos broke the silence.

"You know I've been dying for the day she got a hit to the face." I looked at him shocked.

"Are you kidding?! I've been dying for the chance to do that!" Then we both burst out laughing. When he stopped he turned to me.

" Did you really do that on accident?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I was aiming her direction purposely, but I didn't think I'd make it." I laughed at the thought of her getting hit.

"You know, she's a pain in the- everywhere." He sighed.

"You should be careful. She does this every year. We would have an assistant coach, she would pretend to fail, then ask for a lesson after practice. You do not want to know what happens after." I inform him. I saw him go pale, making me giggle.

"Thanks for the warning. Anyway, here we are." He said stopping I front of the office. I was about to walk in, when he stopped me. "You know, if it was my choice, you would still be playing, and Stephanie would be the one getting her ass kicked."

I laughed. "Anyway thanks. Tomorrow, tell me if she broke her face. I'm going to pray she did." We both laughed and he walked back to the gym.

I walked in saw Calum. I hid behind a pillar that goes from the ceiling to the floor. He was laughing and smiling. Then I heard another voice.

"Your the best Calum!" A girl's voice.

I looked around the corner, and saw Calum twirling a girl in the air, with a bright smile on both of their faces.
