Chapter Eleven

Josh was driving the car back to his apartment. " Josh... Do you miss them ?"

" My parents?... yes all the time but I've had to learn they are still with me just not physically."

" I think it will help for me to think like that but I just miss her presence sometimes y'know? She never got to meet any of my friends or any of my boyfriends, she never got to do any of that motherly stuff like coach me through my first heartbreak. I do all this because I know she would be proud of me."

" I understand what you mean, I had the hardest time growing up trying to understand everything. I was so mad at the world for taking my parents from me. I just had to realize that they up in the sky somewhere watching over me."

I nodded my head so he knows I was listening. I was just taking in all that happened today.

We sat in a comfortable silence until Josh spoke again " Can I ask you something?"

" Yeah, Wassup?"

" You take Kells here before?"

" Yes, last year when we were on tour. It was her ten year anniversary. He knew how I get during that time so he came to support."

"I tried to do that with Camille but she never really understood."

Camille seems like a bitch.

" That's why I am happy to have you in my life, I meant what I said Alyx."

" I meant it too"

Josh and I got food from Chipotle for everyone then we went back to the apartment.

When we walked in Andy and Tatianna were sitting on the couch watching television.

" Tati, I'm home!" Josh yelled as he took off his shoes at the door.

Tati and Andy both got up off of the couch to greet Josh and I then took the food to the table.

Once we all got settled in, we sat down at the table and started eating.

" So... Alyx what did you guys do today?"
Tati asked

" Oh Josh took me to the studio and I met Jacquees. Then we met his parents and Mami "

Andy had a confused look on his face.

" Mami and his parents are buried in the same cemetery " Tati and Andy both nodded their heads, understanding.

" So how was it meeting Que?"

" It was cool, I was actually star struck cause I've been a fan of his for so long which does really happen often because of my line of work."

" Oh yeah! You're a photographer right? Who have you worked with?" Tati reminded me so much of Tehya when we first met.

" Alright, Tati that's enough. Alyx hates name dropping."

" So do you yet you still tell me who you work with all the time" Tati playfully rolled her eyes.

" Josh it's okay, Who are your top 5 favorite artist?" I looked back at Tatianna.

" Uhm. Ariana Grande, Kehlani, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, and Chancetherapper oh my god I love him"

" Really? I love working with Chance he's amazing. I've done a few shoots with Kehlani when she first came up. And I've done tours with Ari and Nicki. I haven't personally worked with The Weeknd but one of my other photographers have." I smiled, just realizing how far I've come from being an assistant to a full blown photographer.

Andy started laughing the mumbled " This is so weird"

" What's weird?" Tati and I asked at the same time.

" seeing you with someone else. Seeing you actually happy with someone other then Kells" Tati looked back at me, shocked.

" You dated Kells? As in Machine Gun Kelly?"

I smiled sheepishly " Yeah, we grew up together in Cleveland" I answered nonchalantly.

" I'm sorry Jay, I love you and all but Alyx what the hell do you see in my brother because Kells is fine" Josh rolled his eyes dramatically and scoffed.

" We just ended on bad terms. I don't really want to get into it again."

Josh nodded his head " Yeah, Tati that means shut up and eat your food."

We all laughed at Josh. They soon started to talk about something else when I got a message on my phone.

Kells💩😒: I miss you, Snow.

- Are you drunk!?!

Kells💩😒: lol. I miss that thing you do with your tongue 👅 😉.

I looked up to see if Josh was paying attention but he was still talking to Andy and Tati.

I screenshot the conversation and sent it to Slim before deleting it all together.

A few minutes later Slim text me back telling me to ignore him.

Slim👎🏿☠️: Wtf you used to do with you tongue,M!?! Imma kick ya ass!

  - LMFAO IDK he's drunk right😂

Josh tapped me and asked who I was talking to.

" Slim"

" Tell him I said wassup." I texted Slim back telling him what Josh said.

" You wanna go to bed" Josh whispered in my ear.

" Yes, I'm kinda tired" We been out all day and I'm jet lagged so I think it's time for me to go to bed.

We told Tati and Andy goodnight and we both went to the back room and closed the door.
