Danielle's POV

My eyes flutter open, it was still night, around midnight.

'What the hell is that? Please don't tell me its a zombie.' I thought as I grabbed my gun out of my bag and checked that I still had my knife in my belt.

As I grabbed my torch i heard a stick breaking outside. someone or something was out there. i checked the others, they were still asleep. i slowly exit the cave taking in my surroundings.

i spin around as i hear another stick breaking. i see a figure, it was around my height it looked like a male from its figure. I walk towards where I saw it.

I had my knife ready. I clutched it tightly, waiting for the right moment to pull it out and attack.

I heard moving behind me and turned around......

If I did that I would probably be hunted down, but I'm not mean so I will go on with the chapter.

I heard moving and turned around, suddenly being pinned to the ground by someone.

"Well, if it isn't Miss Dani Long legs" the persons voice said, slightly amused.

One of their arms was holding their body weight while the other had a knife to my neck.

"What's up with that nickname, jerk?!"

How the hell does he know that?! Only the people I went to school with would know that........ No way.... He can't be him?!

I make eye contact with the boy that still has me pinned to the ground,

Those brown eyes...

"Figured it out yet, Danielle?" I knew I recognised his voice.

I couldn't speak, I opened my mouth but nothing came out. After a few minutes I calmed down from the shock and spoke

"Ya, Luke....... Stupid 'smart bird'" ( inside joke )

"Heh" he laughed slightly.

"Can you get off now?" He nodded and got off, I sat up and he sat beside me.

"Why are you here?" He asked

"I should be the one asking that, why are you missing school?" I asked him.

"I came here for a holiday, I didn't expect you of all people to miss school" he replied

"You know I'm not a goodie too shoes"

"You sure about that?" He smirked, teasing me

I push him lightly

"I heard you singing before, you have a nice voice. I'm guessing it was an anime song?"

I blush

"I don't have a nice voice and no it was not an anime song, it was a Korean groups song it's called ' If You Do by GOT7 '" I got a bit defensive.

He started laughing, making me smile slightly, before getting serious again,

"Have you seen one yet?" I asked seriously

"Ya, two of them I killed one and Ry-" he was cut off.

"Luke! Luke!" I hear someone frantically yelling his name, the voice sounded worried and was coming towards us, the boy approached us, on closer inspection I could see his blonde hair and familiar face.

"Hey there you are, I was so wo--!" He cut himself off as he looked at me "hey Danielle! Now come on Lu- wait Danielle! Hey long time no see!" He was surprisingly hyper for the situation we were In At the moment. I'm glad he didn't find us earlier, that would have been awkward.

"Hi Ryan" I looked at him, then Back at Luke.

I felt little bits of water hitting my skin and I looked up at the sky, seeing that it was raining.

"Do you guys need shelter?" I asked them, they look at each other then back at me and nod.

We walked back to the cave, when we got inside we were attacked by the three girls.

"Danielle!" They yell relieved, then they look at the two boys behind me. " Luke and Ryan?!" They look back at me and I explain everything.

After I explained everything everyone went to bed, but I couldn't get to sleep. I thought about singing again but one of them could have still been awake. I played with the fire for a bit, watching the flames dance around.

I felt a presence behind me and turned around and threw my knife, just missing his face. His eyes were wide, surprised with what I did.

"Didn't know you were deadly" he sat next to me

"You have no idea" I roll my eyes and start playing with the fire again.

" and stop looking at me like that if you don't want the knife to hit you next time" I looked at him out the corner of my eye. I smirked a tiny bit.

He laughed slightly at my remark.

"You should get some rest, we are leaving tomorrow" I tell him

" I should be the one telling you that"

"I'm watching over to make sure no zombie come" I look at him

"No you aren't you need to get sleep Danielle" he says

"I'm fine"

"No you aren't you are getting some sleep" he grabbed my wrist and dragged me to my bed and put me in the sleeping bag. He sat next to me and stared at me.

"If you want me to sleep then go away" I shoo him away

"No because if I leave you will get up again. I'm not leaving until you go to sleep"

I grunt and turn over facing the cave wall.

Little did we know the other four were watching this whole time, silently shipping us.

I felt something on my side, I turn my head to see Luke asleep

That was really fast I thought.

I get up and put him under my sleeping bag, I stare at his face and smile.

The other four pretend to be asleep when I turn to look at them.

I shake my head smiling at how stupid Maddie was, I could tell she was awake because she was smiling like an idiot.

I walk over to Luke's sleeping bag and get in. It didn't take long for me to drift of to sleep.
