Collection of Emotions

My pain. . . .

I stayed in the shadows.

I stayed locked away.

Afraid to open up,

Afraid to give my heart away

Walls got thrown up

People got pushed away

No one stayed around

Everyone had just left

They never tried

They never cared enough

So those walls stayed up

Those tears always fell

The pain never went away

I was stuck

Forever, in the dark

I was alone

Forever in the silence

Nothing ever made sense

So confused

So hopeless
