Voice in the Dark

I curl up at night

Hug the pillow tight as I can

And hoping that it all goes away

Hope that it all quiets down

Maybe the voices disppear

Maybe the darkness will be gone

But I just have to wait

I just have to hope

As I wait, I hear a voice

The closer I listen the louder it gets

The more I recognize it

I slowly look up

From hiding behind the pillow

From the darkness around me

The voice gets louder

I look around more

Finally I see it

The light coming my way

The darkness parting ways

It burned my eyes

But I finally realize the voice

It was you

And with you was the light

The light that made the dark disappear

My savior, my light

My love and now my world

The voices disappeared

The darkness is gone

I dropped the pillow

And hugged you just as tight

Your touch was gently

The light surrounded me
