I Got Soaked

So I live in a place where rain is very rare

So rare in fact that when it does rain everyone flips out

So today

It rained

Now it has been very off and on throughout the day and it hadn't really poured at all

Now being someone who lived in Indiana, I'm used to unpredictable weather

So in third period pe, we were playing volleyball and it was pretty chill ya know, the Wildcats, my team, were beasting as usual and it was just slightly raining

But then

Out of nowhere

It happened

It didn't really register at first, but soon it was pouring buckets of water

Everyone immediately got soaked

Now, all three of the other coaches took their classes inside

But not my coach

Oh no

We were gonna play volleyball regardless of the weather

So we did

While we took a shower in nature

Now, I've been playing volleyball for the past 5 years, and I'm taking a break from it to focus on music for this year

But I'm still super passionate about the sport so of course I'm gonna play it in pouring rain

However

It didn't help that I was now blind

You see, I wear glasses because without them I have no depth perception and will run into anything that's not a foot in front of me

But my glasses were now covered in water

So I wiped them off

Now they were smudged and foggy because my pe shirt was soaked

So I took them off

Now I was blind

But now a bunch of salt water was in my eye, so I started crying from that

So yeah

It was a mess

Everyone from PE walked into history completely soaked and everyone just kind of stared like

What happened

And we were all just sort of done at that point so we just sat down in soggy silence

And that's the story of how I got soaked today

But that's nothing compared to the fact my girlfriend walked 5 miles to school because she missed her bus

5 miles

That's an hour and 30 minutes

She didn't get to school until the end of second period
