I tried not to sigh and glanced at him again.

“Sorry your Highness,” The Prince had to lean forward to hear what I said, I quickly leaned back, he nodded slowly.

“Fine, you are excused, but don’t expect me to let you off as easily next time.” I nodded, bahumbug to him, it wasn’t my fault that he’d decided to bump into me. Thankful that he couldn’t see my scowl, I turned and quickly started striding away.

Prince Xayaan’s POV

I raised my eyebrows turning myself as well, seemed as if someone here didn’t like me. I couldn’t help but laugh. My face quickly resumed to its normal expression, I wasn’t supposed to be alone outside but I was bored. And I couldn’t- wouldn’t- stay with that Jameelah girl. She was so bothersome, that’s a nice way of putting it. The day I had chosen her I didn’t expect what was coming. I mean honestly, that woman was so clingy the seconds I spent away from her were heaven. There was sound of feet behind me,  a sigh escaped my lips. I knew that I had been found, two of my men quickly walked over to me.

“Your Majesty, you shouldn’t be walking off like that!” I glanced at the man and shrugged. I really did not feel like going back but what could I do, maybe I should just throw Jameelah back out.

The air around me was quiet. There was peacefulness in this village which my men had destroyed when they came first but things seemed to be settling down, it pleased me greatly. The air was filled with noises around me, not as many as in the city but different sorts. The neigh of horses still remained but there were only occasional sounds of carriages being pulled around. Both men and women seemed to know how to ride in these parts. I hadn’t realised how many noises there were in the city, shops, people and so much more, in this village there were sounds of animals hiding in the shadows. Strangely, I liked the feeling.

I was led towards a carriage, in a few minutes I had been escorted safely into my temporary room, the one outside of the city and closer to this village. There was a familiar sound of heels racing towards my direction, I stopped myself from grimacing, about to make an escape through the door but I didn’t leave quick enough. Jameelah walked in, she was covered with jewels and expensive clothing.  I Frowned, I did not recall giving her those clothes... or any money in that case.

“Honey! Darling, you were out for so long!” She propped herself next to me, leaning too close for my liking, I edged away.

“Jameelah, where did you get all that” I gestured towards her clothes, “from?” She smiled at me.

“Oh I figured that I could borrow some money” I sighed, running my hands through my hair and glared at her. Why did I have to pick such a prick for?

Jameelah’s POV

I glanced at Xayaan, my smile flattering a little, he was glaring at me. I had realised that he didn’t seem to like me a bit but I could change that. Though I had seen him talking to Ayzel, not that he knew that is, Ayzel had dressed herself as a boy, I’d recognised her in an instance but Xayaan hadn’t. Maybe if I could give him some information about something like that...

“Xayaan, I have a confession.” I sighed, my eyes flickering towards him, my face fell. Xayaan narrowed his eyes slightly.

Xayaan’s POV

Jameelah stared at the ceiling for a little while and turned to me.

“What would you do, if a woman was still working?” I frowned at the thought.
