Chapter 8: Stranger, Ukraine Danger!

(The sun started to rise in the sky and the sun rays lit up the room where Nathan and Lara were sleeping. Nathan slowly woke up and looked around. Everything was covered in sunshine and Lara felt the warmth of the sun. She moaned and fluttered her eyes to wake up. She stared at Nathan and he smiled down at her.)

Nathan: "Good morning."

Lara: "Good morning." (He kissed her once again.)

Nathan: "How did you sleep?"

Lara: "I slept good."

Nathan: "You did?"

Lara: "Yes, I did. And you?"

Nathan: "I slept like a baby." (Lara chuckled.)

Lara: "Of course you would say that."

Nathan: "I know. I'm full of fun."

Lara: "And full of charm." (She laughed again.)

Nathan: "You know it." (He kissed her cheek and gets up from the bed. He puts on his underwear and looked in the closet and took out some traveling hiking clothes for Lara and himself.)

Nathan: "Get dressed, Lara. We're gonna see the others."

Lara: "Right." (They both dressed up in hiking clothing and Lara still has a bow and quiver strapped to her and her two pistols in her holsters. Nathan made sure his weapons are fully supplied.)

Nathan: "Looking good, so far. How's your ammo?"

Lara: "Um, it's a little bit under halfway, but it will hold me."

Nathan: "Well, that's not enough at  all. Here, let's trade ammo."

Lara: "Nathan, no."

Nathan: "Lara, you need this."

Lara: "Not by a long shot, Nate. Please, no."

Nathan: "Lara, come on."

Lara: "But I..Nathan.."

Nathan: "Enough. Lara, you need as much protection than me. I'm a man and a woman needs so much protection. I don't. You need it more than I do. Just take it." (He gives her two ammo clips and she gave her ammo clip to Nathan then they switched.)

Nathan: "There. Now, we're ready. I may be stupid just giving you ammo without your permission."

Lara: "And being a charming douchebag."

Nathan: "Yeah, but you know I will always be there when you call me. Even when we separate, just call and I will answer you. That's a promise, okay?"

Lara: "Okay." (She nods her head.)

Nathan: "Now, come on. We have to go see the others."

Lara: "Right." (They went out the door.)

Sully: "Ah ha! I knew what you guys did..."

Nathan: "Not today, old man. Matter of fact, never bring up this nonsense ever again."

Sully: "Fine. I won't."

George: "Good morning, everyone. How did you guys sleep?"

Nathan: "We slept like just normal people would do all separated and not cuddling. How did you guys sleep?"

Sully: "Oh, it was horrible, kid. It's all this guy right here." (He points at George who was confused.)

George: "Huh? Me? What did I do?"

Sully: "Oh, don't pretend you don't know! This guy burped and farted all night while I was trying to sleep. Pig."

George: "I'm sorry. It was the bandits that captured me, strapped me in a chair and then they made me chug twenty-four cups of whiskey and beer."
