~Surprise Visit~

Thalia's (Thaliya) P.O.V.

I tapped my pencil on my book as I tried to remember the word the newspaper is asking me, sometimes if I don't have anything to do, I'll either be reading my book and answering crossword puzzles and even sudoku too. Today's Sunday and I don't think I will be able to produce something productive today rather than eating and reading and then sleep.

"Thalia, I'm going out for a while, just stay here and don't go anywhere" Dad said as I saw him already tying his shoes, the both of us ate breakfast at the sane time but then when I was washing the dished he suddenly disappeared so I just shooked it off.

"I will dad, take care" I still decided to answer him evnthought there are many questions floating in my mind. He laft the house without leaving a word so I returned in focusing and thinking hard about the word I remember yet forgot. As I was thinking of the word, my eyes suddenly snapped at the door and saw that the door isn't locked, I furrowed my brows when I remembered that dad doesn't really leaves the house without locking the door. There might be strangers and murders roaming around our house, I walked towards the door and locked it but then I suddenly saw a familiar man staring at me and raising two plastic bags in his both hands.

"Jasper?" I squinted my eyes and when ideally confirmed that he is really that man, I opened our fdoor and walked towards him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"I just wanted to talk to you"

"We have a phone"

"I want to hug you"

"You have a teddy bear Jasper"

"I just want to see you"

"I have a picture on your phone"

"I- How did you know?" He asked, oops. I shrugged and stared at him.

"The three boys told me everything about you, now tell me why are you here?" I crossed my arms over my chest and stared at him intently.

"Lunch?" He asked as he raised the two plastic bags again, I looked at him in question before I finally role him to go inside our house.

"Did you cooked this? All of the foods are tasty!" I squealed as I took a bite of the tteokbboki he bought, together with Jajjangmyeon and a spicy potato and fish stew.

"Mom cooked it for you, she was pleased by your personality and adored your beauty. She wanted to meet you actually but I told her that I'll just ask for your opinion first" He spoke, why would his mother even want to meet me though? Don't tell me he kept on telling stories about me.

"Hmm! Dad also said that he wanted to meet you, I got shocked at first but then I told him that i'll talk to you if I still have time" I remembered dad's words last night, but I wonder why he wanted to meet Jasper though. It's only his first time meeting him last night.

"Do you want to meet him?" I asked remembering how eager my dad wanted to meet him.

"Sure, if he wants to know me, the I'll also get to know him" Jasper answered, inod my head as we kept on eating the food Jasper's mom cooked, hmm! It's yummy!

"Shall we clean all of this off?" I asked, it's already 4 in the afternoon and I'm surprised that the both of us actually finished a food with 4 people servings. As Jasper and I cleaned everything up, I noticed one thing.

"Wht do you keep holding my hand?" I asked as I was still washing the dishes, Jasper was leaning on the counter of the sink beside me and smiled.

"It smells like roses"

"I held a fish" I answered.

"It still smells like roses anyway" I shooked my head but then I suddenly remembered my dad.

"I wonder where my dad go, it's been 9 hours since he got out" I uttered but I didn't know that Jasper could also hear it

"Didn't he tell anything to you? About where he'll go?" He asked but I only shooked my head, he didn't even informed me where he was going. Something's weird.

"Nothing, he just left me a note and then poof. He didn't even messaged me nor texed me about his whereabouts"

"Then where is he?" He asked, I shrugged and sat on the couh, I should just wait for him.

"I can't seem to think of any town or any where, he's not that social when it comes to people so I'm quite worried about him" I bit my lip and played with my fingers, Jasper stayed with me all throughout the day but when I noticed that it's already late, I told him to go.

"Jasper, you need to go home now. It's already 11 in the evening" I shooked him as he was already sleeping on the couch.

"I'm sorry, you had fallen asleep on the couch for a while. You shouldn't have volunteered to watch over me when you're the one who's really tired" I apologised as I saw him stretching a bit.

"No it's fine, I wanted to meet him though" he answered

"Will you be fine if I leave?" Jasper asked, here we go again. Another hour of exchanging 'are you okay?' and 'no, I'm fine'. It feels like he doesn't trust me and yet he does... What a weird evaluation.

"I will take care of myself, don't worry about me. It's already midnight so I'm sure that there are policemen already patrolling around the town" I answered him, if my dad isn't still home by the time the clock strucks 12, I'm going to call the police and report him as a missing person. For sure a day is already counted as 24 hours.

"I'll just meet him next time. Be careful Lia" Jasper bid goodbye as he tried to look at his left and right, trying to see if a man will come up to us and I was hoping that it might be my dad.

"I will, thank you" Jasper didn't leave me that fast but he kept on looking at his side mirrors and rear view mirrors to see if there's any sign of life walking towards is at night. After a while, Jasper finally left so I decided to go back inside our house but then, from my peripheral view, I saw a very familiar silhouette walking towards me. I squinted my eyes and then realized that it was really my dad.

"Dad! Where have you been? I was so worried about you, you're not answering my calls nor messages" I suddenly found myself babbling in front of him while I was checking if he has any injuries, and thank god, he's safe.

"It's nothing Thalia, I'm just tired from walking around" I furrowed my brows, walking around? Something's wrong about his statement, he's not even talking like usual.

"But you didn't like walking around beforehand"
