The swirls of red and yellow circled around Nora Allen. The shriek of his mother woke up the nine-year old Barry Allen as he came out of his bedroom to witness the horrific scene. The present Barry Allen from 2015 successfully traveled back fifteen years earlier and saw it himself. He saw an even older version of himself battling with The Reverse Flash and his nine-year old self oblivious to what was going on. The Reverse Flash tried to catch hold of the nine-year old Barry Allen but the oldest Barry saved himself. Nora Allen sat, bewildered , on the kitchen floor, weeping terribly. Henry Allen emerged from his study. Tears formed in his eyes.
"Run, Barry, Run." Henry Allen instructed his son.
The oldest Barry Allen rushed towards the nine-year old self and sprinted outside the Allen Residence. If history were to repeat itself, The Reverse Flash would drive a kitchen knife through Nora Allen's heart. But... there was a twist in the tale. The present Barry Allen tackled The Reverse Flash to the ground and punched him unconscious. He saw an year old self of himself hiding behind the bedroom door. He recalled how he traveled back just a year ago but how an year older self (this apparent self) instructed him not to do anything. But now the future, present and past was in his hands. He gave his year younger self a reassuring smile. To his horror, the year old self vaporized in the air.
Barry dragged The Reverse Flash to the place where the S.T.A.R Labs would sometime later exist. He built an inescapable prison within a matter of a few seconds and took away his ring which gave him his powers. He left The Reverse Flash to die there, in the desolate basement.
Barry rushed back to the house
He approached his mother. She still felt horrified and shed tears.
"Who are you!"
Barry smiled in return as his red suit gave a gleaming bright glow.
"You're safe now."
Barry's fifteen years history got sucked in a time hole. It was time for a new beginning, and hopefully, a brighter and better future...
