To Flash and Beyond (The Flash)

Chapter 5

"Ms Nest, you are late once more!" Cisco said, gleaming brightly, " Give me one reason why shouldn't I fire you."

WOW! That's great for a best friend!

"It's West, sir," Iris replied," And I found an old friend of mine... so I got caught up with him."

" So now Ms.Kest, your "friend" is more important than finding evidence about the mighty force using scientific knowledge to save the world?" Cisco asked.

" Yes sir- Er I mean no... but sir you see-"

"Hah!You said yes! You are FIRED! Get out at once. Pack up!" Cisco ordered.

No sooner did Iris open her mouth than Wally barged in the conversation.

"Now little sis is sacked. Go crying to your boyfriend. Sir she does not deserve to stay here for a minute longer." Wally said.

"You stay out of this Wally! I'll be waiting for you at home!" Iris scowled angrily.

"Keep your personal relations at home. Now pack up and LEAVE!" Cisco ordered once more.

" Look Cisco-" Barry interrupted, trying to save Iris, thinking that his supposed "best" friend would forgive her.

"Nuh uh. Don't call me that!" Cisco said curtly.

Barry pursed his lips in embarrassment. Things turned out to be really funny. His enemy was his best friend and his best friends didn't even recognize him. Probably Cisco wasn't The Vibe now. He had lost the power to look in the past and couldn't create portals to Earth 2.

EARTH 2! Barry really wanted to see whether the events of Earth 2 had been altered or not.

"Have you got anything Polly? Another picture maybe, or a hypothesis or something?" Cisco asked.

Barry was sure that there wasn't anyone known as "Polly" in the room.

" Wally.....sir. And yes I've got pics. The mighty force seems to be a human. Within the swirls of yellow, a hand is clearly visible." Wally interpreted and handed the photo to Cisco.

Cisco studied it in detail.

"Human you say?" Cisco said, getting lost in a deep thought. " I am happy with you Molly! Your sister is unsacked!"

Wally didn't expect something as hurting as that for a reward. Barry looked at the photo.

But then why did Cisco refer to him as "a mighty force using scientific knowledge to save the world"? There were a LOT of unanswered things. Was the Reverse Flash a hero of some kind? Had he reformed?

Barry had forgotten all about him, something which was probably more important than unecessary reunions.

Barry quietly backed up and pressed the button of the elevator. Iris noticed him leaving.

"I need to go! It's... it's really important Iris, please try and understand!" Barry said as the door to the elevator shut. The Reverse Flash was supposed to be trapped in the basement of The Ramon Industries.

Barry went there. It had not been visited for a long time. Then he saw him, his mortal enemy, Eobard Thawne.

He sat cross-legged with his eyes closed. This prison was different than what he had built.

Someone had made a new prison!

It was built of the material similar to the meta-human prison in the other timeline. In fact, it was even more stronger. He had a different face. Barry was expecting to see the face of Dr.Harrison Wells but he realized that Eobard had stolen his identity in the other timeline and not in this timeline.

"Look who's here, The Flash!" Eobard exclaimed.

"You've had visitors! Who has built this new prison? And news has leaked that you have been in the outside world. I have a picture!" Barry yelled. He showed him the picture.

" You seem irritated with me... Barry Allen!"

"You killed my mother!" Barry shouted. Water leaked from the pipes above him, but it didn't seem to affect him one bit.

"You are mistaken Mr.Allen. Your mother is alive and fine," Eobard told Barry.

"You almost killed her, you were supposed to kill her but I stopped you!" Barry retorted.

"You have stopped something which was supposed to happen. You have altered time Barry. You've been a very bad boy! Things will be very bad now!" Eobard said.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Barry yelled as frustration and anger took control of him.

" You have ensured that The Flash never existed. Had The Flash never existed, the Reverse Flash would never come into existence. That means that The Reverse Flash would never have come into the past for any reason had he not existed. This means that nothing would have happened at all!" Eobard explained.

"That's what I want!" Barry replied.

"Do you want to forget everything from the other timeline? Do YOU want to lose your power? Do you want to give up being The Flash?" Eobard asked.

"Anything to let my parents live!" Barry replied.

"Then face the ugly repercussions... Flash. Maintain a diary. You will have dreams about what all happened in this timeline. A day later memories about that from the other timeline will vanish."

"What do you mean?" Barry asked.

" If you dream about how you became friends with Tony Woodward, memories from the other timeline will go in a day. So be prepared Allen. When the last of it goes, be ready to let your power go, to let the power to reset things go, and let this be the history you want the people to remember." Eobard explained.

Barry was really angry. He turned around and kept on walking away.

"Run Flash run. Run as much as you can, because you won't have to anytime later!" Eobard taunted.

15 years ago,

The Flash had trapped Eobard in the laser protected prison. He could break out of it after a week or so but it needed a lot of hard work.

"HELP!HELP ME!" Eobard shouted, calling for help. But he should have known that this was a basement about which no one cared about.

Eobard banged his fist in frustration.

"Please!" Eobard cried,"I want to kill my enemy forever...The Flash!"

Eobard stopped sobbing and looked up when he heard footsteps approaching him.

Dr.Harrison Wells!

He wore a purple hoodie and a black lower. But still, despite his different outfit, he was recognizable.

"Dr.Wells!" Eobard exclaimed. Eobard had made a plan to attack him and steal his identity. But the plan didn't seem to work out.

"I saw your mind blowing speed. How you tried to break out of this weak prison was a really commendable effort!" Dr.Wells appreciated Eobard's work.

"Save me Dr.Wells!" Eobard pleaded ,"I'll give you anything, knowledge about the future, or anything for that matter. Just ask for it!"

"Your DNA."
