To Flash and Beyond (The Flash)

Chapter 7

Barry used his powers for a second time to find a diary as advised by Eobard.

He wrote:-

Alternate timeline check

Tony Woodward bullied me as a child. He grew up to become a goon. He reacted to the particle accelerator and became The Girder, a feared meta-human. He could turn himself into metal. He died in the alternate timeline.

Barry thought that to be enough. His phone rung. It was Tony.

"Hiya Tony!" Barry greeted.

"Yeah Barry! Cap Singh wants to see you. Come fast!" Tony instructed. He hung up.

Barry quickly raced down and greeted his parents a good morning. He munched on his sausages and eggs and quickly sipped down his orange juice.

"Slugger, what's the hurry?" Henry asked. He looked older in this timeline. Probably he was too caught up with work.

"Nah.Nothing. Work call." Barry explained.

Henry's phone rang. He picked it up.

"Yeah, Luthor?"

There was a long pause.

"The alien has shown weakness to that metal we unearthed? Well that's great ain't it? He's been there for fourteen years now. I know...yeah he's completely gone nuts. Keep the tests going. I'll be there by tomorrow. Yeah... yeah bye!" Henry kept the phone.

Questions popped up in Barry's head.

"Alien...dad?" Barry asked.

"Uh-huh, didn't I tell ya about him?" Henry asked.

"I guess not!" Barry replied.

" I am pretty sure I did! He's that alien from Krypton. We have tracked another alien on the loose. Again, from Krypton. It's a she. She is weaker than this guy but seems to outrun us every time we come near," Henry explained.

An alien from Krypton? Barry thought. Superman!

But why was his father tracking him down and holding him captive? His father was just an ordinary doctor and had no business capturing aliens around the world.

"But dad... you are a doctor!" Barry protested.

" I was a doctor Barry, but those days have passed. I found alien DNA and studied it in my clinic. It was of a boy's. I told Lex Luthor, a dear acquaintance. Dr.Wells and his team captured him. Later Dr.Wells made an inescapable prison. " Henry explained.

Barry felt really bad. Superman never existed in this timeline. 

What if none of the other superheroes ever existed, Batman, Black Canary, Firestorm or The Arrow? The existence of The Vibe had already been erased and soon would The Flash too.

But before he could worry about Superman and the other heroes, he needed to consult his parents about something else of importance.

"Dad... I needed to talk to you about something," Barry said.

"What's it slugger?" Henry casually asked.

"Dad... it's about that night, fifteen years ago," Barry said.

Henry tried to act casual but the look on his face gave him away.

"What night Barry?" Henry asked.

" Dad don't lie. I know all about it. Please!" Barry pleaded.

Nora barged in the conversation. "Don't trouble your father with your stories Barry!"

" I know everything mom! I know about that red guy. He approached you and told you that you were safe. The guy in yellow almost killed you. I know all about it mom, please don't act oblivious to it mom. Please tell me what happened when I was on the streets. Who came and visited you in that moment? Who threatened you?" Barry asked.

The look on Nora's face changed. How did Barry know all this?

" Later...son, go and attend your work," Nora said.

Barry was angry. His mother was hiding something from him and wouldn't tell him.

"Well... fine!" Barry said and turned to leave. He used his super speed to whiz past the cars and reach CCPD. He was yet to meet another man in this timeline, his boss, Captain Singh.
