Phil's Sister

Tearful Morning

( Dan's POV ) 

I woke up in a bult, I could hear Phil passing around in our apartment. I hopped out of bed and texted Quinn,

Hey, we'll be round in a few hours... Stay strong! It's going to be okay

I put my phone in my pocket and got up. First, I went out to see if Phil was okay,

"Phil!" I shouted from my door,
"Living room!" A voice dripping in sadness replied.
I ran to the living room to see Phil sat on the sofa, head in his knees, "Phil?" Please tell me she's not where I think,
"Dan," He paused and looked at me, his eyes puffy and tear stained, "It's Quinn!" He spoke,
"What? Where is she? Is she okay?" Questions and thoughts flooded my mind..  I only spoke to her a few hours ago, I thought to myself. I sat down next to my best friend and threw my arm round his shoulder,
"She's been put in hospital!" He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me.
"Aww Phil. When did this happen? She rang me and sounded okay," Phil let go of me, looking at me questionable, "She rang me at 4 this morning." I answered his look,
"And you never told me?" Phil said, barely audible.
"She told me to not worry you." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder,
"What did she say?" Phil was fighting his tear at this point and I could see it.
"She said that she knew she would be put in hospital today, she said she could feel it!" I pulled his into my hold. We sat in silence for a while.

"Dan?" Phil let go and looked up at me,}
"Yeah?" I smiled down at his tear tattooed checks,
"We should go and see her today!" 
"Yeah, let's go get ready then" I ruffled his hair and got up.
"Thanks Dan" He glared at me before a laughing, I winked and walked out the room.

I got into my normal black clothes but today it just felt inappropriate. I sure hoped she would be okay and this would only be a little thing. 

After Phil and I got ready, we decided to have a coffee then go, I walked into the kitchen and Phil just looked at me,
"Come here!" I walked over to him and gave him a well-needed hug, Phil just broke. We stayed like this for a while, Phil crying into my shoulder, me staying strong for him.
