***Calum's POV***

I woke up to the smell of hand sanitizer and a throbbing headache, as I sat up I felt a rush of pain through my body. I pulled up my shirt to reveal bruise-covered skin.

What happened?  I straightened my body only to feel another dag of pain through my ribs. I moaned clutching onto my head which was also getting more painful by the second.
I looked up to realize someone was watching me.

"Are you okay?"

"Sort of" I replied wearily, my throat hoarse.

"Here." Riley said, handing me a glass of water that was sitting on the bed side table.

"What happened?" I asked after taking a decent slug of water, unable to remember the previous events.

"Ashton came into my room when you were there and jumped to conclusions."

The memories suddenly flooding back as she spoke. Me staying in Riley's room and Ashton barging in throwing punches to my body.

"Can I speak to him?" I asked. Determination evident on my face.

"I don't know..." she trailed off.   I groaned in annoyance.

"Excuse me?" I said to a passing nurse, she turned and smiled warmly.

"Can you inquire if Mr Irwin is outside and let him in if he is please?"

The nurse nodded and smiled again walking towards the door.

Riley rolled her eyes.

"Whatever" she said and sat sulking on the edge of my bed.

***Ashton's POV***

I felt guilty for Calum ending up in hospital since the incident happened. I jumped to conclusions too quickly but Riley had now explained why he was there. I looked up when I heard my name being called.

"Mr Irwin?" a young nurse called and I stood up quickly striding towards her.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yes Mr Irwin, everything is fine. Mr Hood wanted to see you."

My eyes widened. "He did?"

"Yes. Visiting hours is nearly up so I suggest you go now" she said opening the door for me.

I took a deep breath and walked in.

"Calum man I'm so sorry."

***Calum's POV***

"Calum man I'm so sorry."

"Dude chill, you know I wouldn't do that to Riles, right?"

"Of course, I'm so sorry."

"Stop apologizing" I replied, rolling my eyes at him.

"Okay" he said sheepishly looking at the ground.

"Cal?" Riley asked innocently.

"Yeah babe?" I replied. Ashton's head shot up at the word 'babe' but his gaze instantly softened.

"When can you come home?"

"I'm not too sure..." my voice trailed off.

"Riley, ask the nurse when Calum can come home." Ashton told her.

She nodded and walked out of the room.

"Well? We both asked when she returned.
