Chapter 27//Birthday

***Riley's POV***
"Happy birthday!" Ashton, Michael and Luke screeched as they ran into my room; waking up me and Calum in an instant. Calum just groaned but I laughed. "Thanks guys" I giggled.

"We love you." Michael said, giving me a quick hug, the other boys nodding in agreement. I smiled up at them. "I love you guys too." I said yawning. "Now leave me alone so I can get ready." I shooed them, cuddling into Calum once they left.

He instantly turned to me and connected our lips rather vigorously, making me gasp slightly with surprise. His hands roamed my body freely. "I love you." He whispered against my neck as he left a trail of kisses there, stopping suddenly to come up and attach our lips again, softer than the last time. He then let me cuddle into his side as I caught my breath and took in what just happened, or almost happened.

***Calum's POV***
"Just eat what you can baby." I reassured Riley, resting my palm on her leg gently. She nodded at me, giving me a small but thankful smile.

As I wolfed down all 5 pancakes, Riley ate half of one, I shook it off, pulling her into my chest. "I'm glad you ate something, I'm proud of you baby. I love you." I said softly pecking her on the nose. She nodded. "I love you more." She said, looking into my eyes genuinely. I kissed her softly.

"That's impossible." I whispered.

***Ashton's POV***
"Calum and your daughter seem to be very full on today." Michael said with a lopsided smile. He just shrugged. "She's eighteen mike, I have no power over their relationship anymore, now all I can do is beat him up if he breaks her heart." Michael raised an eyebrow but nodded.

"Guys." I interrupted the pair practically eating each other's faces off on the sofa. They both looked up at me expectantly. "I know Riley's eighteen now but can you do that some other time?" I asked. They laughed, "would you rather if we took it upstairs?" Calum joked. I just rolled my eyes.

***Riley's POV***
As I was lying next to Calum when my phone went off.
From Brian: happy birthday Ri.
To Brian: thank you so much x

"Who's that babe?" Calum asked distractedly. "A friend." I replied simply.
***
"Calum, where am I?" I asked, unsure of myself, trying to adjust the blindfold so I could peek underneath it, but Calum pulled it back down again quickly. "It's a surprise" he replied finally.

When we stopped walking he pulled the blindfold off of me and I scanned my surroundings, it was dark. "What the-" I was cut off by everyone jumping up and screaming "Surprise!"

A big smile spread across my face, "oh my gosh!" I squealed, giving Calum a hug. "You did this?" "And Luke and Michael and Ashton." He replied. I thanked them too before greeting and thanking everyone for coming.

Casey came over and punched me on the arm playfully, holding a shot glass in front of me.

"For the birthday girl." He yelled over the blaring music. "Thanks." I yelled back, taking the glass and drinking the shot quickly, letting out a breath after how strong it was.

I felt arms snake around my waist and instantly knew it was Calum. He pressed a tender kiss on my shoulder before saying in my ear "you want to dance?" I nodded quickly as he pulled me out towards the dance floor.

A cheeky thought crossed my mind while we danced together, I took another step backwards so I was practically dancing on his torso, his body froze making me smile.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" I said smoothly. "Riley we can't-" I cut him off. "But we can." I winked, he grabbed my hand dragging me towards the stairs and into an empty room.

His lips instantly connected with mine, moving in sync. "Jump." He said, his voice raspy. I complied with his demand, jumping, his hands quickly caught the backs of my thighs at either side of his torso. He walked us over to the bed, laying me down gently without breaking the kiss.

His lips travelled to my jawline, then to my neck; but before continuing he looked up at me.

"Are you sure you want this?" He asked, unsure of himself. "I don't know Calum... my scars..." I said sadly. He looked at me with gentle eyes as he pulled up the sleeves of my shirt, I tried to pull my arms away from him but he held them strongly. Looking at the scars sadly for a second before leaving a kiss on every single one that was there.

I looked at him wearily for a second, before cupping my hands around his face and kissing him. He looked at me confused. "I changed my mind." I said biting my lip as I fiddled with the muscle tank he was wearing. He smiled at me before continuing where he left off.

(A/N simply because people at my school are reading this book, I'm not gonna continue where I was going there, lmao I'm sorry fam.)

"We should go back downstairs baby." Calum said after we both got our breath back. I nodded in agreement. He kissed me gingerly as I kissed back, his hands roaming from my stomach to my back as he pulled me closer, like he usually does. When he pulled away he smiled at me.

"Today was really special." He smiled fondly. I agreed with him. His hand trailed along my cheek as he connected our lips again, quickly pulling away.

He stared at every feature of my face lovingly. "I love you so much more than you know." He whispered. "I love you too." I said genuinely, before standing up to retrieve my clothes from the floor. Calum's eyes were fixed on me as I got dressed. "What?" I asked, laughing. "You should go around naked more often." He laughed, as I punched him on the arm playfully.

I walked downstairs and was greeted by Ashton with his arm around a girl, but I recognized her, she was the nurse when I was in hospital. "Ah, the birthday girl has returned!" Ashton exclaimed when he spotted me. He looked at me confused. "Were you dancing? You look like you've just ran a marathon."

I blushed, embarrassed. "Uh yeah, I was just dancing a few minutes ago... who's this?" I asked gesturing towards his lady-friend.

"This is Bryana, she's my new girlfriend." He said proudly. Bryana smiled at me warmly. "Congratulations!" I squeaked, hugging both of them. "You guys deserve to be happy." I said as I felt a kiss being pressed to the back of my neck, I smiled and grabbed Calum's hand. "Meet Ashton's new girlfriend." I said, smiling. Bryana looked at Calum and I sweetly before grabbing my hand and dragging me away from the boys. "Back in a minute!" She called, walking towards the bathroom.

"Um Bryana, why are we here?" I asked cautiously, she giggled. "You have a hickey on your neck silly, I have makeup to cover it." I looked in the mirror and spotted the obvious mark on my neck. "Oh my... thanks..." I said awkwardly.

As she was applying the makeup she looked at me. "I'm assuming you're not red faced from dancing then?" She giggled. I just nodded. "I know I'm young, but he's just special, you know?" I asked and she agreed. "He really really loves you, I can tell." She said after a short pause. "I love him too, he's amazing." I swooned.

"And we're done." She said happily, putting away her makeup. I looked at the end result, brand new. "Thank you." I said, giving her a quick hug. "No problem at all." She smiled.

"Now get back out there and enjoy your big day."

I think I was going to like Ashton's new girlfriend.
