I hugged Jordan good bye and told her to text me whenever.

"Who's that?" My mom asked.

"A really sweet fan I sat by on the plane."

"I love when you meet fans, it makes both you and the fan happy." My mom smiled.

"I know, they're so nice, and they inspire me to keep at it, but where's the luggage pickup?"

"They're driving it to our house."

"Oh, I didn't know that was a thing." We went to the place in the airport where you rent a car. She rented a red volkswagen GTI.

We stepped outside and it was cold. It was cold in the summer. I wasn't ready for it, in Miami it was rarely ever cold. I didn't have any clothes that would keep me warm here, only shorts and tank tops. I had to get rid of all the basic dreams I had, no laying on the beach late at night with a boyfriend that is non existent. I was pulled out of my thoughts as my mom said,  "We're here!"

My dad opened the driver door and went around to the back and opened the U-haul,

"Come get your stuff, and bring it into your room! Me and your mom get the master but you two get to pick between the other three!" He seemed happy, at least one of us was.

I obviously wanted a good room, "Leo, how about we both go get our luggage then count from three and race to find a room?"

"No, that's too fair!" He teased and raced out to get his suitcase.

"Oh you brat!" I laughed. I got out of the car, trying to go faster, but of course, I'm not, and Leo is in track. He easily got ahead of me and into the house before I even got my suitcase.

Once I finally made it into the house I ran in the basement first, knowing the biggest bedroom was down there and to my surprise, Leo wasn't in it. I set my suitcase in the room and went upstairs to the other 2 bedrooms, Leo was in the 2nd biggest.

"You're not in the biggest?" I asked.

"I figured since you didn't even want to move here, I would give you the best bedroom." He smiled, "But look, follow me!" He waved me over and walked to the basement. "You even have your own bathroom!"

"Awh, you're so sweet." I gave Leo a big bear hug, he was acting if he was a little 6 year old again, being so sweet to me.

I got tired of unpacking for the day so I asked my mom if I could find the closest snow boarding place, she said yes. I pulled the key out of my car and walked in the place,

"How much does a single cost, and renting gear and a board?"

"Give me a second," She clicked a few times on her keyboard and said "27.34."

"Ok." I took of the case of my phone and pulled out a twenty and two fives.

"Thank you very much!" She unlocked the door to the supply area, "Have a nice day!"

"You too!" I went to the changing room to change. I walked out of the building to the snowboarding range. I tried a few times but I always lost balance.

"I don't think snowboarding is for you!" Someone said.

"It is too!" I turned around and saw a guy behind me. He was cute. He looked like the Dolan twins and Cameron Dallas mixed. Curly blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, tan, really sharp jawline. He cleared his throat. Shit, I was staring at his face.

"Be honest, have you ever snowboarded before?"

    "No," I laughed.

    "Want my help?"

"Yes, that would be amazing!" I smiled, "What's your name?"

"Nate Garner," He smiled, and I swear, his teeth sparkled.

——

Nate is too sweet. He helped me so much, and after I learned the basics of snowboarding, and ran the course a few times, he took me out for coffee. He gave me his number and I gave him mine. Him stopping the car took me out of his thoughts, he insisted on taking me home.

"Did I make the cut? Will i be seeing you again?" He smiled hopefully.

    "Of course." I smiled,

"Good, I'll see you soon then, text me whenever."

"Bye," I whispered, getting out of his car.

"Good bye." He said smiling. I opened the passenger side door and hopped out.

Once I got inside my house I yelled,

    "I'm home mom!"
