"A boy and a girl?" Cara questions. Then realization hits her. She starts to jump up and down softly. "Oh my god. Twins. Wait? I'm having twins?"

"I guess that's what that means", I still question. "Should we ask Mom and Dad?"

"It would make sense though. One boy and one girl. It can't be both", Cara laughs. "But asking Mom and Dad wouldn't hurt, right?"

Cara finds her phone in her purse and searches through her contacts until she finds our parents home phone. She puts it on speaker and sets it down so we can both hear. "Hello?"

"Hi Mom", Cara and I say together.

"Oh, your lovely voices. Have you done the surprise yet?"

"Yes, we have", Cara says to her. "But, since we don't have anyone here for clarification, we need to ask you-"

"Yes, you're having twins. I was surprised too", Mom cuts Cara off.

Cara starts to jump up and down again, wrapping her arms around me. We hug for a moment, and realize Moms still on the phone. "Oh, sorry. We love you. Bye, Mom. Talk soon", Cara says and hits the end button on the screen.

Cara and I stand there, in the kitchen, hugging. We finally move away from each other, and look at each other. "Okay. I want to hear baby names now", Cara says.

We walk across the foyer and into the living room, the same setup as what we had when we first lived here, just different furniture, and the walls are a different color, too.

"What were you thinking? I will definitely take them into consideration", Cara says to me as we sit on either side of the couch.

"Well. For the girl, I was thinking either Charlotte or Leah. For the boy, I liked Brady and Tristan".

Cara thinks for a moment. "I love the name Charlotte, and Tristan isn't a name you find often, so I will take those two into consideration", she starts to think again. "I really liked Anabelle, Lilah, Caspian, and Ansel. All of them are unique, but people would have heard of the names before".

Cara and I think more, for at least five minutes. Cara looks at me. "I would have to run it passed Matt for any permanent names, but I like Triston Matthew, and Anabelle Grace. Are those okay?"

"I love those names. They're perfect", I answer her. Her eyes gleam as she starts to laugh with excitement.

We start to talk more, and she soon shows me upstairs to my room. I open the door slowly, and everything looks the same except the comforter on the bed. The wall color is the same peach light blue color, the bed is in the same spot and so is the dresser, the full length mirror, and the curtains looks extremely similar to the ones I had.

"I thought it was important for this to look the same. Sometimes, before I started redecorating it of course, I would sleep in my old room because it felt normal to sleep there, not in Mom and Dad's room. Now my little ones get to grow up in the same one I did, at least one of them. The other can grow up in here when I change it as they get older. But for now, this is your room. You're the first to stay in it".

"Oh, Cara. This is so great. I really couldn't ask for a better sister. I don't know how much I can thank you for everything. This doesn't seem the time to thank you for everything, but I am. You are going to be amazing mom, Matt's going to be an amazing dad, and I will be the aunt who spoils the twins to no end. I will teach them all the awful things and tricks to survive life with you", I laugh.

"Honey? Meredith?" We hear someone call from downstairs. It's Matt.

Cara and I walk into her old room and it's striped bare with plastic all over the floor. They're about to paint. Matt comes through the door. He kisses Cara and rubs his hand over her growing stomach. He comes over to me for a hug, then turns to the both of us.

"So, what do you think of the surprise?"

"I think we're going to need four of everything now", Cara says sarcastically. Matt laughs.

"I'm going to need to start saving more money for these kids. Twins are expensive", Matt replies, trying to make a joke.

Matt starts to tell Cara and I about his plans for the nursery, and Cara has to approve of everything. They agree on the paint color, a very light coral red, and then they try to agree on where the cribs and the bookshelf is going to go, but it's going nowhere.

Cara and Matt continue to bicker over the layout of the nursery, when I faintly hear my phone ring from my purse down stairs. I run down and search through my purse for my phone. I finally find it and hit the accept button, seeing it's Cole.

"Hey", I answer the call.

"So?" Cole asks. "Niece or nephew?"

"Both", I say.

"What?" Cole questions me. "Are you saying we have twins coming into this family?"

"That I am Mr. Anderson", I reply.

"That's super exciting. I just wanted to find out. Tell Cara and Matt I said congrats. How was your flight?"

"Quick and easy", I say. "It's super cold here though, but that's nothing unexpected".

"Good. I got to go, but I found the time before practice to call. I love you Mere. See you on Wednesday".

"I love you too. See you then".

Cole hangs up the phone, and I can still hear Matt and Cara fighting about the layout of the room. I roll my eyes, laughing a little.

I always liked the name Lennon for my child. Maybe I'll get to use it someday.
