I PRAYED THAT ELLIOT WOULDN'T call me or that perhaps he had forgotten about me. It had been three weeks and a few days and I haven't heard anything from him, I was starting believe that that may be the case.I hadn't been myself in these past few weeks and Levi had noticed, even though he pretended like he didn't know I was acting different, I knew he did. I was worried he might go digging into I and Elliot's relationship. He wouldn't find anything as to why Elliot made me react the way I did, he couldn't discover my secret because Elliot made sure it was only him that knew of it.
But, I didn't let all that was going on distract me from the fact that I and family had acquired new-found wealth. I still let that drop of happiness shine through.
"I think this it," mum says, looking around the spacious room. Her eyes fall on me and she gives me an excited smile. "I think is the one, what do you think, honey?"
I nod, staring at the fireplace. "It's a really lovely house"
My dad look around thoughtfully. "There are still many more houses to see. This is just the sixth one,"
"This is the one," my mother says, pressing her palm against her chest. "I can feel it in my heart," she walks across the room and to the patio that was overlooking the city. "Just look at the view, Marcus. It is incredible,"
Dad sighs and folds his arms across his chest, he turns to me. "What about you, sweetie? Do you like it?"
I look at my mum, who gives me a desperate, pleading look. It was obvious she loved the house, I could see it on her face immediately we stepped in. In all truth, the house was beautiful. It was grandeur and modern, components that I liked in a house. The rooms were large and all had impressive views, the bathrooms were Asian style which fit my aesthetic, the kitchen design was contemporary and the air in the neighborhood seemed very different from everywhere else. I actually liked the house as well.
I nod, turning away from my mother. "I do. Everything really fits together, if that makes any sense,"
My mother was pleased with that answer, a smile draws across her face. "You see, Marcus? Zahra feels the exact same way I do,"
Dad ignores her, his eyes still focused on me. "I hope your mother didn't influence that answer,"
I shake my head. "Not at all, I like the rooms, the views and the neighborhood,"
He nods thoughtfully before sighing. "It is a bit over our budget, but if you guys like it then I supposed we should get it. After all, we will be living here for a long time, might as well enjoy it," he turns to the real estate agent that we had shunned the whole time. "We'll take the house,"
