Scarlett's POV
Reid cuffed Kai and took her outside. "I guess it's safe to say that's done for the day," I sighed.
"Yeah," Morgan nodded. We walked outside. "Well, you're part of the team again."
"That I am happy about," I nodded. Cruz walked over to us. "Oh, I have a feeling I'm in trouble."
"You're officially back on the team," Cruz smiled. "Not sure why Hotch cut you in the first place, since we did solve more with you than we did without you." I smiled and shook his hand. "You two take the weekend off. I hear it's your little girl's birthday tomorrow. Seriously, be there for her. Don't make the same mistakes I did."
"And that would be?" I asked.
"Choosing your job over your family," Rossi sighed. "Don't do that."
"Speaking of which, you have to go pick them up," Cruz nodded.
"Is it time already?" I asked. I looked at my watch. "Oh my. It is. Okay. Well, I'll see you guys on Monday unless you desperately need our help over the weekend."
"We'll manage for tomorrow," Cruz nodded. "Go on."
"Thanks," I smiled. We got into the SUV and Morgan drove us to the school. "Come on, Morgan. We gotta go to the class to get the kids."
"Oh man," Morgan sighed. We got out of the car and went to get Evelyn first. "I met her flirtatious teacher, Mrs. Patterson."
"Yeah, don't mind her," I nodded. "She's married." We walked into the classroom before class was even out. Mrs. Patterson didn't mind me going to just watch. "Hey."
"Guys, look who's here," Mrs. Patterson smiled. "Miss Diamond and Agent Morgan."
"Hi everyone," I smiled. "Sorry I didn't bring anything today."
"Are you an FBI agent too?" Mrs. Patterson asked as she motioned to my badge and gun.
"Yeah," I nodded. "I am re-issued back to the same unit I was in a couple months ago."
"But you never had that here," Mrs. Patterson replied.
"I never brought it to the school," I shrugged. "I was always off by the time the kids got out. I had a case the past few hours." Morgan poked me, to remind me to tone it down. I got defense about my job a lot. "I just didn't have time to take it off." The school bell rang. "Come on Evelyn. Let's go get your brother and go home." Evelyn grabbed Morgan's hang and we went to Mr. Langston's classroom. I knocked and we walked inside. "Hello, Mr. Langston."
"Miss Diamond," Mr. Langston smiled and shook my hand. "Who's the handsome fellow with you?"
"Dustin's dad," I smiled.
"Derek Morgan," Morgan smiled as they shook hands. "I'm his step-dad but he calls me dad."
"Let's go, Dustin," I nodded. We got Dustin and went straight home. The kids had a small snack and went to their rooms to do their homework. I made sure they got their work done within an hour. "Morgan, they're growing up."
"I know," Morgan sighed. The doorbell rang and I opened the door. JJ and Garcia walked in with a rack full of designer dresses. "What's going on here?"
"We figured since it's Evelyn's big day tomorrow, she deserves a dress," JJ smiled. "Not everyone can be a princess but we can make them feel like one."
"For my ninth birthday, I got a doll," I raised a brow.
"For real, but I got a toy car," Morgan replied.
"Evelyn, your Aunt JJ and Aunt Penelope got a surprise for you," I called up the stairs. Evelyn came down and gasped as she saw the dresses. "Hey kiddo."
"Are these all for me?" Evelyn asked.
"Just pick one," JJ smiled. "But you're more than welcome to try them all on."
"Yay!" Evelyn smiled. She tried on every single dress and picked her favorite one for her party. The next day arrived and we got the backyard decorated. Evelyn walked down the stairs. "How do I look?"

"Like a princess," Morgan smiled

"Like a princess," Morgan smiled. "My very own princess."
"She's growing up too fast," I sighed.
JJ walked in. "A princess is never a princess without her tiara," JJ held up a diamond encrusted tiara. "I think it'll look beautiful on you."

"Can I talk to you?" I asked

"Can I talk to you?" I asked. JJ put the tiara on Evelyn and followed me. "JJ, are you serious? A diamond encrusted tiara? That's pretty expensive."
"I never had a little girl," JJ responded. "Just two boys. So please, let me spoil Evelyn while she's still young."
"Okay," I sighed. We started the party at 3pm. Morgan walked over to me. "Hey."
"Do you think she's having fun?" Morgan asked.
"She looks like she's having fun," I nodded. "Why?"
"Because of this," Morgan showed me a beautiful diamond ring. "Scarlett Diamond, the past two years with you and the kids have been nothing but happiness." I smiled. "So will you do me just this once solid, and be my wife? So we will be one happy family."

"Yes," I smiled

"Yes," I smiled. Morgan put the ring on me and we hugged. "Let's tell everyone after. It's Evelyn's big day and I don't wanna ruin it for her."
"I absolutely agree," Morgan smiled. "I never wanna spoil our princess's big day."
"Look at her dancing with Dad," I smiled. "I seriously miss the days like that." I see an unfamiliar, yet familiar face sneak into the party. "Oh my god."
"What?" Morgan asked.
"It's Shawn Mendes," I pointed. "Oh my god." I walked up to him. "Shawn?"
"Hi," he smiled as we shook hands. "You must be Evelyn's mom."
"Yes, I am," I nodded. "This is Derek Morgan, her father."
"I'm glad you could be here," Morgan shook his hand.
"I'm glad to be here," Shawn smiled. We looked at Evelyn as she got onstage. "How old is she?"
"Nine years old," I smiled.
"Good evening everyone," Evelyn said into a microphone. "Thank you for coming to my birthday party."
"She's so adorable," I smiled.
