Extended Summary:
The queen's eyes flashed, warning me of all the ways in which she could destroy not only me, but everyone I loved. "You can't change your destiny, Carter Foster.""Oh, yeah?" One eyebrow lifted in challenge as I set my jaw. "Watch me."
||
Carter is that kid in the back of the classroom who sleeps the whole hour and will probably still become valedictorian. She's sarcastic, focused, and (when it comes to guys) a complete klutz. So the day that ice seems to follow her from the shadows, she's pretty sure the school pot head smoked too close to her.
Now the trees seem to watch her every move and there's a feeling of dread in her stomach she can't quite shake. In a search for answers, Carter has no choice but to trust a blue eyed boy with a knack for trouble and a mischevious smile. However, just because someone cannot lie, doesn't mean they're telling you the truth.
Suddenly, the world she thought she knew is thrown apart as Carter is wrapped up in a whirlwind she never could have imagined. The land of Faerie is never what it seems, and Carter is about to learn that there are far worse things in life than Calculus homework.

Before we start, jut a few quick notes.
1.) THIS IS NOT A FANFICTION! A few people have asked, and I understand why you would think so. Typically I am a fanfic writer, but this is an actual book. Despite the fact that Jack Frost is in here, he is not based on anyone's idea of him. Dreamworks made a version of him in Rise of The Guardians, and he is also in the movie Jack Frost as a SNOWMAN. Not to mention the super awesome Jack Frost portrayed by Martin Short in The Santa Clause 3 (Love him!). Fun fact: The first known reference to Jack Frost was made in the 19th century.
2.) This is being rewritten. If you have already read what was originally here, no worries. The story isn't changing drastically, but I have come to know my characters on a much deeper level. Thus, they have more they want to say. Considering I started this book in October of 2013 (I was still in middle school!) it makes sense for this to be redone. I will be updating as often as I can.
3.) All in all, the land, the people and the plot are all mine. I know exactly where this is going and I am beyond excited to go on this journey with you. It should be fun and I am so hype to show you all of the twists and challenges to come. So, that being said, PLEASE do not take my work. This is 100% original and I am so proud of the time and energy I have put into it.
4.)If you ever make any fan art, or banners, please send them to me! I would love to see them! And if anyone knows how to make a trailer for this, please message me because I would love one to the song Haunted by Taylor Swift and I am so technologically challenged. Message me and we can figure something out! Also? Commenters get dedications! So please comment your favorite parts, or any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. We are all here to get better.
So, if you've read this long author's note, thank you and thank you for even opening this book to begin with. This is a rollercoaster I am so blessed to be able to lead you through. Welcome and enjoy, my little Snowflakes!
