Chapter 3

Your P.O.V

I sipped my water by the elegantly placed snack table. Sebastian and Ciel disappeared and left me to my thoughts.
After Sebastian and Ciel gave me orders to find as much information as possible.

My tail was stuffed in my dress and my ears were hidden by a small hat and covered by my hair. All of the I saw a flash of curly blond hair. I gasped and whiled my head around. Sure enough, Elizabeth was chattering about with a petit red head. Smiling and laughing, her huge frilly dress puffed around her. She then gave the red head a closed eye smile and turned to leave in the direction of some more giggly girls.

My eyes grew wide and I whipped my head around to find Sebastian or Ciel.
After what seemed like an Elizabeth-is -going-to-find-Ciel amount of time. I finally spotted Sebastian. He was dancing with Ciel. Ciel was kind of hunched over and hiding behind Sebastian. I sighed in relief.

They knew she was here. I whipped around again to where Lizzy was and she was gone. I looked around frantically but still couldn't find her again. Ok. Calm down, she's probably in the bathroom.
I frowned and walked back to the snack table. By then the party was at the highest and everyone was happy and waiting for some entertainment.

I looked across the room to Sebastian who was watching Ciel get carried away by Druit. He looked smug and smirked when Ciel kind of squirmed and put on a fake smile. He turned and then looked straight at me from the other side of the room. Ok. That's weird. I know he's a demon but still. I looked away awkwardly and shuffled towards the middle of the room.

I saw Sebastian on his way to the middle of the room. His new mask fit perfectly and covered his eyes making him look somewhat like a crow. Now in the middle of the room carrying a big trunk, he waved over Lau. Lau smiled and nodded at Sebastian's instructions. He was to shove real swords into the trunk. Sebastian would be placed inside and somehow, come out alive.

"There will be no tricks involved with this." Sebastian assured assured the crowd, spinning around the empty trunk. Some people gave Sebastian disbelieving looks. He just did his famous closed eye smile and nodded. I chuckled and Sebastian gave me a sideways glance when he entered the large trunk.

He closed the trunk on himself and Lau
Started poking the swords through the thin wood. He jumped up and with a shiinng the first sword was in place over where Sebastian's head would be. I frowned and begin to get worried but soon settled. Sebastian's a demon, A very powerful one at that. he'll be fine.

After all of the swords were in place the crowed looked a bit worried, even Lau. But, Sebastian calmly stepped out of the Trunk. His outfit now had a few rips but he seemed fine. I sighed in a bit of relief even if i knew he would survive. He smiled to the whole crowd that cheered.
"See, I promise you that there were no tricks involved." He said bowing, making the crowd cheer louder.

"With this next trick." Sebastian told the quieted crowd. "I will need another volunteer." He looked at me and I knew what he wanted. So, I raised my hand. He smiled in my direction and pointed to me.
"Ah! The beautiful young lady in F/C.(favorite color)

I smiled warmly and walked up to the front. Sebastian went over the instructions. "Ok, miss?" "Y/N" (your name) you played along. Sebastian grinned again. "Miss Y/N, Please will you pick a card and write your name on it for me." I nodded and did as told as he gave me a pen. Please show the other lovely guests." "Good girl" Sebastian murmured under his breath. I blushed and flipped the card over and showed the murmuring crowd.

just like any card trick Sebastian had me put it back in the deck. "Now, Miss Y/N will place the card inside the deck randomly." I took his orders ind stuck the card in the middle of the deck. " now she will shuffle the deck until she is satisfied I won't find the card." I took the cards Sebastian handed me and shuffled them a few times, making sure he didn't see them. I heard him chuckle behind me.

I gave the cards back and Sebastian smiled. "Now I will pick the card" he said while laying them out. He asked me to cover his eyes and I did as told with him leaning down because he's so dang tall.
He laughed at my struggling and leaned leaned down more. His arms were stretched out I front of him, ready to find the card.

He slightly sniffed the air and then his long hands found my exact card. He held it up and I uncovered his eyes. The crowd cheered and clapped. He then put a single finger to his lips, signaling to be quiet. He then rolled up his sleeve and put the card on his palm and turned it towards the crowd and then him. He turned his palm back to the crowd but the card was gone. We gasped and looked at Sebastian in surprise.

He smirked and looked at Lizzy, who was in the front row. "Miss, would you please check your purse?" Lizzy blushed and shuffled through her purse. "Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed, her eyes wide. "It's right here!" She said pulling the card from her small clutch. The rest of the party guests gasped and clapped more. Sebastian smiled and bowed. He moved the trunk away wherever he found it and resumed relaxing.

Sebastian walked in my direction and smirked at me. "My lady, you did well but, did you think I wouldn't survive?" He said speaking of the sword stunt he did. I looked down ashamed but shook my head. "I knew you would live, I was just worried." He smiled at me "if I couldn't do a simple magic show, what kind of butler would I be?" I giggled and he took my hand. "Now, would you like to dance?" I felt heat rush to my face and I stuttered out a reply. "Umm y-yes Sebastian"

He smiled again and wrapped one of his arms around my back. He griped my hand with his free one and led us to the floor while swaying to soft music. I smiled and pressed my head to Sebastian's chest.
I could hear his heartbeat and my face felt hot again.

He chuckled at me and I blushed more. We eventually left the dance floor and I walked out to the balcony. The fresh air cooled my face and I relaxed a bit. Forgetting I had a deth-by-squished-corset on under my dress.

"Miss?" A familiar voice called. I turned and gasped when I saw Druit. "What are you doing hear Druit?" I asked. He gave me a frown. "I came here to accompany a lovely lady that is all alone." I looked up at his as he stepped closer. "Tell me, do you want to play a game?" I tilted my head in confusion. "What kind of game?"
He smiled creepily and gave an answer.

"Oh, you'll have to see. That's part of the
game." I was hesitant but I remembered what Sebastian and Ciel said at the beginning of the party. "Find as much information as possible" so, I agreed to play his little game.
