Caylib's POV:

"Sh!t," I mumbled as I pulled out a campus map and walked down the stairs.

The auditorium they used for assemblies and plays seemed like a quiet place to hide until lunch.

I walked across the gravel bus lane to the sidewalk. I walked down the concrete path covered in various stains.

I faintly heard the second period bell ring. I figured no one would be coming this way so I kept walking.

"Caylib!!" A feminine voiced called.

'Probably the jocks girlfriend coming to laugh at me,' I said in my mind.

I kept walking without glancing over my shoulder.

"Caylib!! Where ya going?" The voice yelled again.

I finally made it to the auditorium and swung the door open before the girl shouted for me again.

The door slammed into the girl following me, who was now on the ground.

"Ouch!" She yelped as she laid on the cold, hard concrete.

I turned around to say sorry sarcastically and realized it was Kat.

I knelt on the ground and gently stroked the hair off her face.

"Kat, I am so sorry. It's my fault!" I panicked as I saw blood gushing out of her forehead.

"Naw, I'm fine!" She insisted until she reached up and felt the blood. "Oh God," Kat mumbled as she went pale.

"Kat?? Are you okay??" I asked frantically.

"Not really...I hate blood unless its in small amounts," Kat explained as she tries to slow her breathing.

I stood from my knee and grabbed her satchel and wore it cross body.

"Caylib, what are you doing?" Kat asked as she gained back a little color.

"Taking you to the nurse, pick up your head," I instructed.

I scooped her up off the ground and started walking.

"But I can walk..." Kat whispered as she snuggled into my chest without getting blood on me.

"Don't want to take any chances," I said. I smiled as she got comfy in my arms.

"You smell good," She laughed as she looked up at me.

"Thanks. And don't worry, feel free to get blood on my shirt, I don't care," I smiled.

Kat smiled and laid her head against me again.

"I hate to tell you this, Caylib, but the nurses office is all the way on the other half of campus..." Kat trailed off.

"Really?" I questioned, raising my eyebrow.

"Yeah. Want me to walk?" She asked.

"Naw, you only weigh 80 pounds!" Caylib laughed.

Kat giggled and leaned into my chest more.

"Just follow the sidewalk to the front entrance and then walk through the front doors. Then you take a left, second door on the left," Kat explained as she started to close her eyes.

"Alright," I replied as I shifted her weight to one side so I could slide off my jacket.

"What are you doing?" Kat questioned as she opened her eyes.

I shushed her and laid my jacket on top of her.

I evened out the weight as she accepted the jacket willingly.

"G'night Kat," I smiled as she drifted off.
