Ash's POV:
Kat and I walked inside Kat's spacious living room.
"Feels like centuries, huh?" I smiled as ten years of memories came flooding back.
"Yeah," Kat agreed. "She's up in her room, I'll be up in a minute with some snacks."
"Alrighty!" I replied as I started to walk up the wooden stairs. Every other stair creaked of old age.
I walked to her door at the end of the hall.
"AY YO MICKEY!!" I said in a thuggish voice and pushed open her cracked door.
"Ash!" Mikaela squealed and ran to hug me.
A boy with shaggy hair admired Mikaela's nut cracker collection.
He turned his head quickly to look at me.
His piercing blue eyes scanned my body quickly.
I blinked my bright green eyes as introduced him self.
"Cool shirt, bro," Caylib complimented.
"Thanks, man," I thanked.
I was wearing a Wiz Khalifa band tee, denim jeans, with a pair of white Converse.
I too have longer hair. It stopsright underneath my eye brows and is almost black. I have my signature right hair flip that I do almost out of habit.
Kat walked in behind me, carrying a tray of snacks for Mikaela.
"Here ya go Mickey, we're gonna go outside and let you rest up some more," Kat explained.
Caylib walked past me and stood awkwardly in the hallway.
"Um, do you know where the bathroom is?" Caylib asked shyly, never making eye contact.
"Yeah, I'll show you," I said and started to lead my way downstairs again to Kat's mom's bathroom.
I stopped him at the study door way.
"Is it in here?" Caylib leaned into the door way.
"No it's not it there. Why you hanging 'round Kat?" I demanded.
"Oh, I didn't know you two were together, sorry," Caylib apologized.
"No. We aren't. I just know all the bullsh!t people have put her through. And you aren't going to be added to that list of people. Got it?" I growled, staring into his blue eyes.
Caylib shrugged. "I don't think that's my choice, it's Kat's," He smirked.
I slammed him against the wall and held him by his shoulders.
"Now you and I both know you aren't a 'bad boy.' So don't even bow up at me," I laughed as he tried to even though I pinned him against the wall.
"Shut the hell up, Ash," Caylib said as he struggled beneath my grip.
"Don't hurt her and I won't hurt you," I threatened.
He stared at me until I let him go.
"Bathrooms right next door," I explained like nothing happened and walked to the kitchen where Kat was climbing on the counter.
"Just getting a couple picnic blankets from the cabinet!" Kat laughed as I reached up and got them for her.
I turned my back to her on the counter and said "Climb on."
Kat climbed onto my back and he walked us to the door where Caylib was now walking to.
I opened the door for Caylib and gave him a look like "Remember our little talk." Caylib faked smiled and walked to the grassy area by a fire pit.
It was now 7 and dark enough light a fire.
"Mom probably won't be home for a couple more hours. Maybe all night." Kat mumbled as I put my arm around her shoulders and hugged her.
"It's okay," I said rubbing her shoulders.
Kat smiled sadly and laid down two blankets.
"Me and Ash can share this one and you can have that one to yourself," Kat explained as I sat down.
Kat light a fire a joined me after getting it going.
Caylib stared into the memorizing flames.
"Anyone want to play Truth Or Dare?" Kat offered.
