KAT'S POV:

Ash leaned in and gently pressed his soft, plump lips against mine.

I didn't know what to do so I began to run my fingers through his dark hair nervously.

I felt his lips grin beneath mine before he moved his hands to wrap around my waist. His fingers slid into my back pockets and I didn't fight it. I was beginning to get a feel for the whole kissing thing. Ash pulled me closer to him until my chest was against his toned body.

My heart began to slow down again. Maybe it wasn't too weird to be kissing my best friend?

I gently kissed back and I felt his heart speed up. He kissed me passionately and smashed my body against him.

"Oh gosh. I'm making a fool of myself," I thought as I played with the hem of Ash's shirt.

I then realized that Caylib was still watching so I decided to pull Ash's shirt off in an attempt to make his jealous.

I slid it over his head as he backed me against a tree. He pulled away and I opened my eyes.

His olive tone six pack stared back at me. My eyes glided up to his face. Ash's green eyes sparkled as he bit his lip.

Caylib coughed awkwardly as my drunk mom came storming out of the back door.

"What the hell do ya think you're doing?!" She yelled.

Ash quickly pulled his shirt back on.

"Mom, it's not-"

"Save it Kathryn. That's what I said when your granny walked in on me and your a$$ hole of your dad was getting me pregnant with youuuu..." My mom slurred.

Caylib looked at me frantically. His blue orbs were filled with terror.

"Tell your friends to go home and then go take care of Mickey alright?" Mom said and turned to go inside.

"You guys should probably go..." I trailed off awkwardly.

Ash smiled and walked to the fence, jumped it, and climbed into his car. As he drove away, Caylib chuckled.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"It's nothing," Caylib stalled.

"Obviously it's something, otherwise you wouldn't be laughing," I smarted.

"It's just that Ash thinks he's a bad boy when he's no where near one," He scoffed in reply.

"Shut up, Caylib," I said and playfully punched his arm.

I sat back down in front of the fire and watched it crackle. Caylib sat beside me and scooted closer. There was only a couple of inches between us now.

"Hey, Kat," Caylib mumbled.

"What's up?" I asked, mesmerized my the flames.

"Would you think it'd be crazy if I fell for a girl in less than 24 hours..?" Caylib whispered.

I pushed my hair behind my ear and looked him in his stunning blue eyes.

"No, would you think it'd be crazy if

I fell for a guy in less than 24 hours?" I smiled.

"We're talking about each other right?" He joked.

"Maybe, maybe not..." I laughed.

Caylib kissed my cheek softly before standing up and grabbing my hand.

"Can I walk you in before I leave?" He offered like a gentleman.

"Nah, I think I'm gonna stay out here and think."

"Alright, I'll text you later," Caylib called as he jumped the fence.

"Alrighty," I muttered as a smile crept across my cheeks.
