He tugged at his sleeves. Today was the day that the moon had left, to go see what the humans were like, how they lived. He didn't want the moon to leave him, but after all this time he had still left, leaving the stars once more. It wasn't the first time this had happened, they come and go all the time, the moon was the only one who stayed. The moon had always talked to him and put up with his energetic yet shy self. But then the moon left, wanting to experience what the stars couldn't offer. Well, that's what he thought. He didn't realise that he could go with the moon, down to live with the people. He didn't realise that he could have gone with the moon and live life as a person with him. He didn't realise until the moon had already picked his vessel, meaning that the stars had no clue who the moon was or what he looked like. But now it was too late, he was already here, surrounded by creatures that he had only observed for thousands of years. He knew nothing of what to do, he was confused and disorientated. But that wouldn't stop him.
That wouldn't stop Vikram Barn from finding his moon.
